  • Patent number: 11896071
Abstract: New garment-fastening techniques are provided. In some embodiments, a new form of adjustable hair tie is provided. In some such embodiments, a new form of scrunchie is provided. In some embodiments, the new form of scrunchie includes widely-variable, user-adjustable tension, elastic cushioning disposed on or about a contact area with a user's hair, and a smooth (e.g., silk) surface. In some embodiments, the contact area surrounds and defines a central hair-gripping void with a user-variable size, and includes a substantially flattened support and profile. In some embodiments, a new form of waistband, wristband, or other clothing-fastening band of material is provided. In some such embodiments, a new form of garment enhancement device, incorporating a unique pattern of alignment- and grip-enhancing sub-elements, is provided on or about such a band, which improves garment positioning, and provides a non-stick hold on a user's body.

  • Publication number: 20240023638
Abstract: New garment-fastening techniques are provided. In some embodiments, a new form of garment enhancement device is provided, including a waistband, wristband or other body-holding band, clothing-fastening band including a plurality of alignment- and grip-enhancing sub-elements located on or about an inward-facing side of the waistband, wristband or other body-holding band. In some such embodiments, the alignment- and grip-enhancing sub-elements are at least partially located with a channel. In some embodiments, the alignment- and grip-enhancing sub-elements are uniquely shaped and spaced in a pattern provided on or about such a band, which unique shape and spacing improves garment positioning during sleep, and provides a non-stick hold on a user's body. In some embodiments, such a pattern may also form a written message or indicator (e.g., product branding), viewable by a user.

  • Publication number: 20230131013
Abstract: New forms of weighted and cooling sleep masks, and methods for their manufacturing and use, are provided. In some embodiments, a weighted sleep mask includes a plurality of interior chambers, loaded with cooling pieces, in unique arrangements. Such cooling pieces include material(s) with a relatively high density and cooling capacity, including materials with relatively high specific heat, such as stone or recycled glass. The cooling pieces may be at least partially enveloped with an insulating material. The plurality of interior chambers may be positioned in an array to cover, cool and press against and cool particular regions of the face, such as pressure points, and the eyes. A plurality of channels may run between the plurality of chambers, permitting the mask to conform with and exhaust heat and vapor at or about other areas of the face.

  • Patent number: 11354679
Abstract: An account validation system may include an account validation server. The server may store an order purchase history for accounts. The order purchase history may include a purchased product. The server may obtain an account identifier from a user device for a given user and communicate the purchased product to the user device for display thereon based upon a corresponding account associated with the account identifier. The server may communicate a fake product that is inconsistent with the order purchase history to the user device and based upon the order purchase history for the corresponding account. The server may also cooperate to prompt the given user to differentiate the purchased product from the fake product, and determine, based upon the user device, whether the given user has differentiated the purchased product from the fake product, and when so, validate the corresponding account.
