  • Patent number: 11700221
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for subscribing to messages generated from a plurality of edge devices. One method comprises receiving, at a cloud platform from a plurality of edge devices, a plurality of messages that comply with a common schema and receiving, at the cloud platform from a custom application, an annotation stream request to generate at least one annotation stream and an annotation filter request to generate one or more annotation filters. The at least one annotation stream and the one or more annotation filters are then generated by the cloud platform. Based on the one or more filters, one or more of the plurality of messages are published, by the cloud platform, to the at least one annotation stream.

  • Patent number: 11566807
Abstract: A program for light commercial building system (LCBS) solutions. Solutions and other systems may incorporate lightweight alerting service, auto-adjustment of gateway poll rates based on the needs of various consuming applications, detecting loss of space comfort control in a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system, HVAC capacity loss alerting using relative degree days and accumulated stage run time with operational equivalency checks, and HVAC alerting for loss of heat or cool capacity using delta temperature and dependent system properties. Also, incorporated may be triggering s subset of analytics by automatically inferring HVAC equipment details from controller configuration details, ensuring reliability of analytics by retaining logical continuity of HVAC equipment operational data even when controllers and other parts of the system are replaced, and an LCBS gateway with workflow and mechanisms to associate to a contractor account.

  • Patent number: 10987603
Abstract: The present invention is a malleable bed cover that transforms a child's bed to resemble a predetermined object such as an automobile, train, boat, fort, airplane, castle, dollhouse, or a white blank cover to create a personalized design. The bed cover changes shape to provide the child with space for imagination play through the use of accessories, markers and attachable toys.

  • Patent number: 10839632
Abstract: The present invention relates to frameworks and methodologies configured to provide access to building devices via domain concept abstraction. Embodiments of the invention have been particularly developed to allow simplified centralised access to a wide range of building devices based on domain concept abstraction, hence isolating end users (and applications) from details as to specific attributes of individual building-level hardware devices. While some embodiments will be described herein with particular reference to that application, it will be appreciated that the invention is not limited to such a field of use, and is applicable in broader contexts.

  • Patent number: 10752749
Abstract: In some variations, this disclosure provides a surface-modified hydrophobic clay composition for an ink formulation, the composition comprising up to 99 wt % clay particles with a particle-size distribution characterized in that at least 10% are smaller than 0.2 microns, at least 25% are smaller than 0.5 microns, and at least 95% are less than 5 microns; and from about 1 wt % to about 10 wt % of one or more organic compounds selected from quaternary ammonium compounds, organic acids, fatty acids, organic silanes, or organic polysilanes. The surface-modified hydrophobic clay composition may be produced by various methods, including a slurry method or a dry-mixing method. Ink clay loadings in heatset ink formulations may be increased to 10-15% without losing ink gloss. Inks may be produced with lower solvent, resin, and/or pigment concentrations, thereby reducing cost.

  • Publication number: 20140032555
Abstract: A formal ontology includes multiple context elements to describe elements and their context within a system in the domain. The structure includes multiple role functions to describe the function of elements in the system, multiple types to describe values being provided by the elements in the system, and multiple states to describe states of the elements in the system, wherein the context elements, role functions, types, and states are selectable to provide a full description of the system.

  • Patent number: 8312384
Abstract: A method includes executing first processes to generate graphical displays. At least one graphical display includes a user interface associated with a process system. The method also includes executing a separate second process to generate a window for presentation to an operator. The method further includes inserting the graphical displays into the window and presenting the window with the graphical displays to the operator. The method could also include executing a separate third process to control the first and second processes. The third process could represent a watchdog that terminates and restarts processes in response to detecting a fault or that prioritizes the processes. The method could further include executing a separate fourth process to provide a service, which includes a function invoked on behalf of at least one of the first and second processes.
