Publication number: 20250354342Abstract: A roadway barrier system includes a plurality of compact profile highway barriers preferably which are of a height which does not obstruct the viewing lines of a vehicle drivers on the road and permits them to see, for example, cross-traffic situations, work sites, and pedestrians. The barriers have tapered side walls which help maintain a crash on the roadway. Hooks are used to connect barriers end to end, and the hooks are positioned within a channel groove at the end of each barrier. When connected, the hooks of adjacent barriers are largely within the channel grooves of the two adjacent barriers which enables superior lateral deflection prevention. In addition, when connected a V shape section between the ends of adjacent rigid concrete sections of the plurality of rigid concrete sections extends upward from a base of the adjacent rigid concrete sections at an angle of five degrees or less.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2025Publication date: November 20, 2025Inventors: Rodney SMITH, Ashley SMITH, Arthur MILES, Chris REESE

Patent number: 11492800Abstract: A fire blocking system for building panels includes a fireproof block held in place between two beams or studs on opposing fastener members. The fireproof block is preferably held adjacent a slab or other structure, and is preferably of the same thickness. Thus, fire and smoke is prevented from or at least delayed from passing from one side of the structure to the other through the building panel (e.g., from passing from one floor to the next). The fire blocking system reduces the use of fire proofing materials required for building panels, while simultaneously improving the fire blocking capabilities of the building panels to meet building codes for fire resistance.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2021Date of Patent: November 8, 2022Assignee: EASI-SET WORLDWIDEInventor: Ashley Smith

Publication number: 20150100450Abstract: An online auction system includes a host system which has at least one processor executing processor executable code, at least one non-transient memory communicating with the at least one processor and storing processor executable code, wherein the processor executable code when executed by the at least one processor, causes the at least one processor to: (1) transmit a first signal to a network indicative of a first auction presentation page for auctioning an item, the first auction presentation page having a bid mechanism and being free of a buy-now mechanism; (2) receive a first bid signal from a user terminal indicative of a first activation of the bid mechanism; and (3) in response to receiving the first bid signal transmit a second signal to the user terminal over the network indicative of at least a portion of the first auction presentation page having a buy-now mechanism.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 12, 2014Publication date: April 9, 2015Inventors: Jeff Geurts, Ashley Smith, Marc A. Brockhaus, Angel Gerdzhikov

Publication number: 20140223952Abstract: A cooler with a magnetic base is provided. The cooler is particularly suited to being used with a truck because the magnetic base can secure the cooler against a metal truck bed, ensuring that the cooler will not move during transport. The base may be composed of standard magnetic material or may preferably be composed of an electromagnet that may be turned on when the cooler is stowed and then turned off when the cooler needs to be moved. The power source for embodiments with the electromagnet include either a standard battery, a rechargeable battery, or some type of external power source. The cooler can come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and configurations.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 12, 2014Publication date: August 14, 2014Inventors: Sheldon Smith, Ashley Smith

Patent number: 8282501Abstract: A putter-type golf club comprising an alignment system and a club head assembly. The putter-type club head has a body that is preferably composed of aluminum, with a rear weight disk and small inserts composed of a material denser than the material used for the remainder of the club head (excluding the neck of the club). The body has an alignment channel that is approximately the same width as a standard golf ball, and which runs from the face to the rear of the club head. In a preferred embodiment this alignment channel is black or dark in color with a white or light-colored border. The putter-type club has a neck that is inserted laterally through the side of the club head, such that it runs parallel to the face of the club head and for substantially the length of the face.Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 2010Date of Patent: October 9, 2012Assignee: Seraph Sports LimitedInventors: Ashley Smith, Simon Chan
