Abstract: A roadway barrier system includes a plurality of compact profile highway barriers preferably which are of a height which does not obstruct the viewing lines of a vehicle drivers on the road and permits them to see, for example, cross-traffic situations, work sites, and pedestrians. The barriers have tapered side walls which help maintain a crash on the roadway. Hooks are used to connect barriers end to end, and the hooks are positioned within a channel groove at the end of each barrier. When connected, the hooks of adjacent barriers are largely within the channel grooves of the two adjacent barriers which enables superior lateral deflection prevention. In addition, when connected a V shape section between the ends of adjacent rigid concrete sections of the plurality of rigid concrete sections extends upward from a base of the adjacent rigid concrete sections at an angle of five degrees or less.

Abstract: An electrical assembly including a grounding mechanism and an electrical device, the grounding mechanism including a support longitudinal member and a switch contact member, the switch contact member arranged in or on the support longitudinal member, the switch contact member configured to be connected in use to ground, the electrical device including an electrical terminal, wherein the support longitudinal member is configured to be slidable between: a first position in which the switch contact member is separated from the electrical terminal so that the switch contact member is electrically disconnected from the electrical device and a second position in which the switch contact member is in contact with the electrical terminal so that the switch contact member is electrically connected to the electrical device.

Abstract: A fire blocking system for building panels includes a fireproof block held in place between two beams or studs on opposing fastener members. The fireproof block is preferably held adjacent a slab or other structure, and is preferably of the same thickness. Thus, fire and smoke is prevented from or at least delayed from passing from one side of the structure to the other through the building panel (e.g., from passing from one floor to the next). The fire blocking system reduces the use of fire proofing materials required for building panels, while simultaneously improving the fire blocking capabilities of the building panels to meet building codes for fire resistance.

The cooler is particularly suited to being used with a truck because the magnetic base can secure the cooler against a metal truck bed, ensuring that the cooler will not move during transport. The base may be composed of standard magnetic material or may preferably be composed of an electromagnet that may be turned on when the cooler is stowed and then turned off when the cooler needs to be moved. The power source for embodiments with the electromagnet include either a standard battery, a rechargeable battery, or some type of external power source. The cooler can come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and configurations.
