  • Publication number: 20240074079
Abstract: An electrical assembly including a grounding mechanism and an electrical device, the grounding mechanism including a support longitudinal member and a switch contact member, the switch contact member arranged in or on the support longitudinal member, the switch contact member configured to be connected in use to ground, the electrical device including an electrical terminal, wherein the support longitudinal member is configured to be slidable between: a first position in which the switch contact member is separated from the electrical terminal so that the switch contact member is electrically disconnected from the electrical device and a second position in which the switch contact member is in contact with the electrical terminal so that the switch contact member is electrically connected to the electrical device.

  • Publication number: 20120183931
Abstract: A hit detection system including: a simulated weapon, a laser attached to the simulated weapon, a full screen projector projecting an image on a screen, a screen for target depiction and making a laser footprint visible to a hit-detection camera, at least a first hit detection camera being a high precision camera that is capable of detecting a laser footprint and generating hit detection data, a simulation computer in operative connection with the full screen projector and the hit detection camera, a link between a trigger on the simulated weapon and the first hit detection camera, a data storage means for storing hit detection data generated by the first hit detection camera, so that, in use, when a trigger on the simulated weapon is pulled to activate the laser a laser footprint is projected onto the screen and at the same time the hit detection camera takes an image of the laser footprint on the screen.

  • Patent number: 7966549
Abstract: The correction of errors in the transport and processing of qubits makes use of logical qubits made up of a plurality of physical qubits. The process takes place on a spatial array of physical qubit sites arranged with a quasi-2-dimensional topology having a first line of physical qubit sites and second line of physical qubit sites, where the first and second lines are arranged in parallel, with the sites of the first line in registration with corresponding sites in the second line. Between the first and second lines of physical qubit sites are a plurality of logic function gates, each comprised of a first physical qubit gate site associated with a first physical qubit site in the first line, and a second physical qubit gate site associated with the physical qubit site in the second line that corresponds to the first physical qubit site.

  • Publication number: 20110053120
Abstract: The present invention describes a marksmanship training simulator including, a weapon capable of firing a laser, a screen for projecting images including a background and a target thereon using a background projector for projecting a background scene and a target area projector for projecting a density of visible pixels on the screen such that the target image is at better than eye-limited resolution when viewed by the marksman through a and wherein the contrast ratio of the target image formed by both by the background and target area projector is substantially that of the target area projector. The screen reflects the laser and there is also a laser footprint detector directed to the target area wherein the density of the detector pixels for receiving the non-visible footprint and the intensity and size of the laser footprint is such that there is a predetermined accuracy of the detection of the location of the footprint.
