  • Patent number: 9295876
Abstract: An exercise device that includes a main base and a pair of resistance members. The main base rests on a support surface. The pair of resistance members are replaceably attached to the main base to allow the device to be portable, are length adjustably attached to the main base to allow the device to be length adjustable, are resistance adjustable so as to allow the device to be resistance adjustable, allow exercising of both feet simultaneously without having to have the feet physically attached thereto, are activated by weight of the user, and are disposed on opposite sides of the main base so as to allow the feet to be positioned in front of each other during exercising both feet simultaneously so as to work in opposition to each other by working the toe portion of one foot simultaneously with the heel portion of the other foot.

  • Publication number: 20150352152
Abstract: Apparatus and process to create, expand, and localize the population of stem cells in adult tissues by placing a foreign body either in omentum or in the subcutaneous tissue. The apparatus 1) traps the granulation fluid, cells a fluid rich in a myriad of growth factors, 2) mobilizes and concentrates free-floating stem cells in the granulation fluid and 3) stimulates the growth of a new tissue around the apparatus, which provides another source of stem cells. Stem cells obtained by this process can be used as freshly isolated or after culturing, which can be used for wound healing, treating diseases, and regenerating organs in animals and humans.

  • Patent number: 9061177
Abstract: A device that exercises a wrist of a user by converting a pivotal motion into a linear motion. The device includes a base, a pair of pivoting assemblies, a pair of resistance assemblies, and a grip. The base is placed on a support surface. The pair of pivoting assemblies extend upwardly from the base and are spaced apart from each other to have the wrist of the user placed therebetween. The pair of resistance assemblies depend from the pair of pivoting assemblies, respectively, to the base. The grip extends from one pivoting assembly to the other pivoting assembly and is gripped by a hand of the user, and when pivoted downwardly by the hand of the user, the pair of pivoting assemblies pivot downwardly which in turn causes the pair of resistance assemblies to extend linearly upwardly and provide a resistance, and in doing so, converts the pivotal motion into the linear motion.

  • Publication number: 20140370953
Abstract: A game is illustrated and described having a number of rows R and a number of columns C arranged in an R×C matrix, where R defines the number of rows displayed to a player and where C defines the number of columns displayed to the player. In one embodiment, a separate virtual reel is provided for each column and a separate set of symbols is associated with each virtual reel. A symbol is then randomly selected for each position in the R×C matrix from the set of symbols associated with the virtual reel provided for the column. In another embodiment, a method of stud or draw poker is disclosed, in which cards are dealt in a pattern, and the player is allowed to move the cards within the pattern, i.e., rearrange the pattern so as to increase the payout or value of the hand. The payout of the hand is determined by the total value of poker hands on designated pay lines in a pattern.

  • Patent number: 5118053
Abstract: A system for preventing the sudden depressurization of a compartment in an aircraft from causing structural damage or damage to other critical aircraft components. The system includes a pivotable closure. Normally, this closure is latched across a passage between a pressurized compartment such as a passenger cabin and a dump such as the space between the cabin wall and the outer skin of the aircraft. In the event that pressure is suddenly lost in a second pressurized compartment such as a cargo hold beneath the floor of the passenger compartment, a pressure differential is created across a flap-type latch actuator carried by the closure. This rotates the actuator, disengaging an actuator-associated latch element from a fixedly mounted keeper and thereby allowing the closure to be swung to an open position by outrushing air. This makes the entire area of the passage to the dump available for the outflow of air.
