The user can determine whether counts are within a desirable range, exceeding an overflow threshold, or exceeding an underflow threshold for a bin. Embodiments allow the user to observe overflow/underflow thresholds, signedness, word lengths, fraction lengths, etc., while program code that interacts with the register executes.
