  • Patent number: 11693540
Abstract: Techniques and methods are disclosed for providing improved and consistent navigation within a mobile shopping application. A default graphical user interface may be provided at a display of a user device. In response to a navigation request at the default graphical user interface, the application can enter a store mode for a separate specialty store within the application. While in the store mode, the application can present a subsequent graphical user interface that overlays the default graphical user interface. The subsequent graphical user interface can be configured using data conforming to a graphical interface specification. The graphical interface specification may also include rules for determining which navigation requests properly enter and leave the store mode.

Abstract: The present invention provides a disposable trumpet valve tube cassette assembly, as well as, a surgical irrigation instrument that includes a probe assembly, a pump, a removable pump cartridge, and a socket. The probe assembly provides passage of fluids for irrigating the body interior and for evacuating matter from the body interior. The pump provides for pumping irrigation fluid through the probe assembly into the body interior. A pump cartridge defines a pumping chamber. Electronic control circuitry includes an electronics controller and a trumpet valve switch interface. The electronics controller includes a pulse generator that generates pulses, the duty cycle of the pulses controlling the speed of the motor. The trumpet valve switch interface is in electronic connection to a switch, the interface providing a signal to the controller.

  • Patent number: 7549424
Abstract: A method and apparatus wherein an application of energy is limited to a specific diseased portion of body tissue (target tissue) for the purpose of localizing the treatment to the target tissue and avoiding an adverse effect on surrounding tissue. In one embodiment, access to the target tissue is provided by inserting an energy transmission device through a needle for delivery of the energy into the target tissue. Guidance of the needle is alternatively enhanced through use of an image guidance device. Alternatively, in addition the localized treatment is further controlled by use of an energy-concentrating/enhancement agent and/or photosensitizing/photoselective agent, chromophore dye and viscous substance to cause selective interaction with a specific wavelength of an energy source. The treatment can be further controlled and localized by improving the accuracy and positioning of the delivery device into the target tissue using imaging guidance.

  • Publication number: 20050255039
Abstract: A method and apparatus for treatment of diseases of a breast, fallopian tube and female reproductive organs by injecting/delivering a treatment substance/chemo-gel, directly into the target tissue of the body organ, and thereby leaving the remaining body organs relatively unaffected. Specific formulations and composition of treatment substances are provided. The typical treatment substance/chemo-gel formulations contain at least two principle components including an active treatment (therapy) substance, and an inactive binding (carrier) substance for thickening the treatment substance. Specific substance formulations are provided, including a range of recommended dosage levels for optimum treatment of a specific disease of a female reproductive organ. Injection/delivery apparatus and methods, and apparatus for guiding its placement are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20040002647
Abstract: A method and apparatus for treating disease by injecting a treatment substance directly into the diseased body part, and thereby leaving the remaining body parts relatively unaffected. Specific treatment substance formulations are provided for each of a plurality of body parts for specific diseases. The treatment substance formulations contain two principle parts including a preferred active treatment (therapy) substance, and a preferred inactive binding (carrier) substance for thickening the treatment substance such as a specific gel or viscous material for carrying the preferred active treatment (therapy) substance for a particular disease and body part. The method also provides preferred treatment substance dosages to be injected into each body part. Apparatus for injecting the treatment substance is also provided that can be used with endoscopic instruments.

  • Publication number: 20030135268
Abstract: A secure stent for maintaining a lumenal opening constructed preferably as a tubular structure of NiTi material or bioabsorbable polymers. The circumference of the tube is preferably in the shape of a polygon in contrast to the circular or oval shape of a body lumen into which the stent is to be placed. The polygon shape and ribs provides interference with the lumen wall and resists stent migration. The diameter of the stent tube is configured with each end enlarged providing flanges for interference with a lumen wall. The central portion of the stent is also bulged out to an increased diameter to provide an enhanced lumen wall resistance to avoid migration. In addition, the locking feature of a ribbed structure prevents the stent from collapsing, and thereby maintains the lumen opening. The stent is preferably constructed from polymers, including bioabsorbable polymers, and/or super elastic materials. The bioabsorbable polymer construction aids removal by causing the tube diameter to collapse.

  • Publication number: 20020007222
Abstract: A structural apparatus positioned exterior of a body organ for providing support. In one configuration, the support is in the form of a strap that has a first length with holes in which a second length with saw tooth edges is inserted to form a band to surround and give support to a body organ. In a second configuration, a sling has a central portion with saw tooth edge lengths extending in opposite directions. The central portion provides a support surface for an organ, and each saw tooth extension is embedded in part in muscle tissue, forming a supportive sling for the organ. The structural apparatus is basically constructed from polymer material that can be either bioabsorbable or non-absorbable, and alternatively can be coated with one or more layers of material including treatment substances, and additional structural additions such as cushioning, balloon material and other surface configuration.

  • Patent number: 5395312
Abstract: A handheld surgical instrument consists of a housing capable of being hand held and including a front end to which a surgical tool is mounted. The tool can be used for electrosurgery and includes a conduit for irrigating or evacuating an interior portion of the body of a patient. The instrument also includes a chamber for temporarily retaining irrigation fluid and from which the fluid can be supplied along the conduit to the body of the patient. Drive means mounted to the housing acts on the chamber to move fluid from the chamber along the conduit to the body of the patient. The instrument also includes a fluid supply for supplying irrigation fluid to the chamber. In operation, the drive means acts to alternately decrease and increase the volume of the chamber to alternately expel fluid from and draw fluid into it.
