  • Publication number: 20250046466
Abstract: Techniques for predicting analyte levels based on intermittent sensor data are disclosed. First sensor data is acquired from an analyte sensor. The first sensor data reflects analyte levels of a user who is wearing the analyte sensor. The first sensor data is collected over a first time period. Later, a determination is made as to whether data is still being acquired from the analyte sensor. As a result of determining that data is no longer being acquired from the analyte sensor, the first sensor data is classified as intermittent analyte data. The intermittent analyte data is then used to generate predicted analyte level data for the user during a second time period that is subsequent to the first time period. The predicted analyte level data is reflective of the intermittent analyte data.

  • Publication number: 20250036535
Abstract: Snapshot-based disaster recovery (DR) orchestration systems and methods for virtual machine (VM) failover and failback do not require that VMs or their corresponding datastores be actively operating at the DR site before a DR orchestration job is initiated, i.e., before failover. An illustrative data storage management system deploys proprietary components at source data center(s) and at DR site(s). The proprietary components (e.g., storage manager, data agents, media agents, backup nodes, etc.) interoperate with each other and with the source and DR components to ensure that VMs will successfully failover and/or failback. DR orchestration jobs are suitable for testing VM failover scenarios (“clone testing”), for conducting planned VM failovers, and for unplanned VM failovers. DR orchestration jobs also handle failback and integration of DR-generated data into the failback site, including restoring VMs that never failed over to fully re-populate the source/failback site.

  • Patent number: 12194197
Abstract: A novel anti-microbial coating and uses thereof on medical devices are presented. The novel coating is comprised of a layer of boron carbon nitride (BCN) coated onto a medical device such as a catheter. The BCN coating was found to inhibit bacterial growth by at least 80% and reduce biofilm formation by at least 60% on the treated surface of the catheter. This coating can be used to reduce or prevent central line associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI) in patients as well as inhibit bacterial growth and biofilm formation on a variety of medical devices or polymeric surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20250004545
Abstract: A head-mounted device may have a head-mounted support structure, a gaze tracker in the head-mounted support structure, and one or more displays in the head-mounted support structure. For example, two displays may display images to two eye boxes. The display may display a virtual keyboard and may display a text input in response to a gaze location that is determined by the gaze tracker. The gaze tracker may additionally determine a gaze swipe input, or a camera in the support structure may determine a hand swipe input, and the swipe input may be used with the gaze location to determine the text input. In particular, the swipe input may create a swipe input curve that is fit to the text input to determine the text input. A user's hand may be used as a secondary input to indicate the start or end of a text input.

  • Patent number: 12164540
Abstract: A server can receive a request to subscribe to a data tenancy in an extended region. The server can determine a size of stored data records associated with the data tenancy in a home region to be replicated in the extended region. Based in part on the size of the stored data records, the server can open a new communication channel dedicated to replicating the stored data records from the first server in the home region to the second server in the extended region. The server can pull the stored data records from the first server in the home region, store the pulled data records on the second sever in the extended region. The server can receive updated data records over an established communication channel between the first server in the home region and the second server in the extended region and store the updated data records on the second server.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a computer system enables a user to invoke display of transport controls (and/or other controls associated with controlling playback of content) using gaze inputs, gesture inputs, or a combination of these. In some embodiments, in response to detecting a first user input, the computer system displays a first set of controls in a reduced-prominence state (e.g., in a manner that is not unduly distracting to the user), and in response to detecting a second user input, the computer system displays a second set of controls in an increased-prominence state (e.g., in a more visually prominent state). The second set of controls optionally includes more controls than the first set of controls.

  • Publication number: 20240331815
Abstract: A named-entity recognition (NER) model detects named entities with types that correspond to protected health information (PHI) in potentially sensitive documents. The NER model is trained to detect named entities corresponding to both personally identifiable information (PII) and medical terms. Output of the NER model is preprocessed as input to a random forest classifier that outputs a verdict that documents comprise sensitive data. The verdict is interpretable via high confidence named entities detected by the NER model that led to the verdict.

  • Patent number: 12101377
Abstract: The present embodiments relate to a CI replication service that can replicate domain data from IDCS control plane to data plane and to all subscribed regions of a domain. For instance, the CI replication service can provide replication of required resources of a domain for AuthN and AuthZ from an IDCS local region to other regions for high availability (e.g., to improve latency). The CI replication service can replicate the resources from a domain's home region to all subscribed regions for local availability of data for workloads running in those regions. Further, when a new region is subscribed for a domain, then the service can bootstrap that domain's data from home region before enabling that region for the domain.

  • Publication number: 20240288364
Abstract: An example system, method, and computer program product for detecting thermal runaway in a battery cell is provided. The example system includes a light source configured to emit light across a spectrum of wavelengths toward a sensing fiber having a first end and a second end. The sensing fiber may be positioned to receive the light emitted by the light source at the first end. The sensing fiber may further contain a filtering mechanism configured to reflect a portion of the spectrum of wavelengths of the light. In addition, the sensing fiber may be optically coupled to a photodiode at the second end, such that a portion of the light is reflected as the light travels through the sensing fiber. The gas may be detected based at least in part on an intensity of the light received at the photodiode indicating the onset of thermal runaway.
