  • Patent number: 7960418
Abstract: The present invention provides new class of 4?-[4?-(1?,3?-benzothiazole-2?-yl)anilino]podophyllotoxin analogues having the structural formula as follows (4). Where R?H or CH3; R1?H, halogen, CH3 and R2?H, halogen, OCH3. The present invention also provides a process for the preparation of new 4?-[4?-(1?, 3?-benzothiazole-2?-yl)anilino]podophyllotoxin analogues as useful anticancer agents. More particularly, it provides a process for the preparation of 4?-[4?-(1?,3?-benzothiazole-2?-yl)anilino] derivatives of podophyllotoxin. The process for the synthesis of new podophyllotoxin analogues as anticancer agents produces the novel and stereo-selective derivatives of the podophyllotoxin in good yields, where in the key step for the synthesis of these analogues is by direct nucleophilic substitution of C-4?-iodo intermediates.

  • Publication number: 20100312830
Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed herein that are related to preserving battery life of a mobile device. One disclosed embodiment provides, for example, in a mobile device server, a method for sending messages to a mobile endpoint utilized concurrently with a non-mobile endpoint. The method comprises receiving a first message sent from a different user and sending the first message to the mobile endpoint. The method further comprises receiving a second message sent by the user from the non-mobile endpoint and, in response, suspending a session with the mobile endpoint. In response to receiving a third message from the mobile endpoint, the method comprises resuming the session with the mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20100232380
Abstract: A system and method for enabling primary and secondary user coexistence for a wireless system includes performing spectrum sensing in a channel to determine primary user usage in a first mode of operation. It is determined whether the primary user usage includes a pattern of usage. If a pattern of usage is detected, a second mode of operation is engaged which includes at least reducing spectrum sensing by a secondary user to permit secondary user usage of the channel.

  • Publication number: 20080043831
Abstract: A method/system of transcoding an MPEG 2/4 bit stream into an H.264 format, handles an input MPEG 2/4 bit stream in a decoder, and identifies certain data in the input bit stream for reuse in the H.264 format; and, reuses the identified data in a re-encoder with assistance from a mapping module in transcoding by converting the input bit stream into an output H.264 format. The identified data includes information at a macrolevel and information at a picture level. The information at the macrolevel might comprise additional stages incorporated in the re-encoder module including a Mapping Process stage, a Sub Pixel Refinement stage, a Mode Selection stage to choose from Intra, Inter or Skip modes, followed by the standard H.264 encoding loop and the Entropy Coding Block. The information at the picture level might include; a) average quantizer of frame, and, b) total bits per frame.

  • Publication number: 20040249768
Abstract: The invention provides a method, system, and computer program product to control the access, copying, and/or transfer of a digital asset by mobile, wireless devices using a digital voucher. The digital voucher references a primary content that contains all of the expression for that particular asset and a secondary content that contains information that can be distilled out as a preview. The information in the primary content can be limited to a specified duration or a specific number of viewings. The author, owner, or possessor of the digital asset specifies the terms and conditions for distribution of the digital asset. The digital voucher authorizes the mobile, wireless device to access a specified primary or secondary content that may be located elsewhere in the network. The mobile, wireless device can download a copy of portions or all of the content depending on the terms specified in the voucher.

  • Publication number: 20020002659
Abstract: A system and method of maintaining consistent cached copies of memory in a multiprocessor system having a main memory, includes a memory directory having entries mapping the main memory and a directory cache having records corresponding to a subset of the memory directory entries. The memory directory is preferably a full map directory having entries mapping all of the main memory or a sparse directory having entries mapping to a subset of the main memory. The method includes the steps of receiving, at the coherence controller, a signal indicative of a processor cache miss or a coherence request associated with a memory line in one of the plurality of compute nodes; determining a target coherence controller from the signal; performing a directory lookup in a directory cache of a compute node associated with the targeted coherence controller to determine a state of the memory line in each cache of the system.
