    Abstract: A cam lock for cabinets, drawers, drug cabinets, credenzas, sliding doors, lockers, mail boxes and other door type applications is compact in size, fits an existing cam lock opening and provides electronic access via a keypad or other electronic access. Using batteries, such as AAA size batteries or smaller, the lock has electronics that release a lock turn knob or handle when the correct code is entered. Preferably a set of electronic contacts is included at an accessible position on the lock housing to allow both master access and power jumping with a common manager's implement, for situations of lost codes and/or battery failure. In a particular embodiment the lock is long, narrow and low in profile so as to fit on the margin of a steel or wood file cabinet, compatible with the cam lock opening already provided. The locks, NFC-enabled, can be used in securing delivery boxes to enable delivery access, when authorized.

    Abstract: In a system of locks, typically lockers for temporary use, but also including long-term lockers and locks in office furniture, each electronic lock has an access terminal for entry of a user's code. The electronic locks each have a processor and a programmable memory to receive inputs for setting and resetting access codes for the lock. The system includes a smartphone or other hand-held computer device, with a program for control of lock access. When locks of the system are to be set as to permitted access, or operating parameters of locks are to be adjusted, or for downloading information from the lock, information is entered into the smartphone and downloaded to a portable electronic data key. The data key is then touched to contacts of each lock to be affected, whereby the locks are set or the locks provide audit data to the smartphones.

A spring in the actuator provides for the actuator to move to the locking position while the cam is still in the unlocked position, but to spring into the locking position when the cam is moved back to the locking position. The lock housing includes a threaded bore for a mounting machine screw, strategically placed within the limited space of the lock mechanism.

    Abstract: An electronic locker lock with outer and inner housings similar to that described in U.S. Pat. No. 5,886,644 has a cable connector extending from one housing to the other. When the two housings are installed against outer and inner sides of a locker door, with the door panel sandwiched between housings, the inner housing provides a pocket for storage of the cable after pin connections have been made. In addition, a locking connection is made between the two parts of the pin connector, with a plastic spring lock, preventing disconnection while the lock is in service, and the lock allows for a range of locker door thickness.
