  • Patent number: 10578696
Abstract: Method, system and non-transitory computer-accessible medium can be provided for performing magnetic resonance spectroscopy for at least one structure. For example, with such method and/or computer-accessible medium, it is possible to receive information related to a substantially simultaneous acquisition of a stimulated echo pathway and a double spin echo associated with at least one portion of the at least one structure.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 2, 2015
Date of Patent: March 3, 2020
    Assignee: New York University
    Inventors: Oded Gonen, Assaf Tal
  • Patent number: 10151642
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of an apparatus according to the present disclosure comprise a radiative heating system with a radiation source configured to generate radiation for absorption by an object. A magnetic resonance system is provided with one or more coils configured to transmit and receive radio frequency energy to and from the object. A processor is configured to determine at least one of a temperature of the object and a change in the temperature of the object, based on the radio frequency energy received. A magnetic field source can be configured to generate a magnetic field within the object, and the radio frequency of the energy can be selected for magnetic resonance interactions in the object, based on a strength of the magnetic field.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 27, 2016
Date of Patent: December 11, 2018
    Assignee: NEW YORK UNIVERSITY
Inventors: Leeor Alon, Daniel K. Sodickson, Assaf Tal, Christopher M. Collins

  • Patent number: 7944206
Abstract: A method and apparatus for treating a sample for acquiring high-definition magnetic resonance images (MRI images) or high resolution nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra even in the presence of magnetic field distortions within one or multiple scans. The spatial nature and temporal dependence of the field inhomogeneities are determined a priori using any of several literature procedures. A static or oscillating magnetic field gradient is applied on the sample so as to endow spins at different positions within the sample with different resonance frequencies. A phase- and amplitude-modulated radiofrequency (RF) pulse is applied in unison with the magnetic field gradient so as to endow spins at different positions within the sample with a homogeneous excitation/inversion profile.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 14, 2006
Date of Patent: May 17, 2011
Assignee: Yeda Research and Development Co. Ltd.
Inventors: Lucio Frydman, Boaz Shapira, Assaf Tal
