Abstract: A technique is disclosed for managing a virtual-cloud-deployment-group (VCDG). Some example embodiments of the disclosed technique may obtain information about a user's needs and about an application that will be executed by the VCDG. Based on this information a first version of configuration of the VCDG is defined. Then, an optimization process can be executed in order to offer an optimized VCDG.

Abstract: A technique for deploying virtual servers installs a certificate authority certificate for a manager server in a virtual server image. When the virtual server image is instantiated by the manager server, the virtual server creates a public-private key pair, and generates a certificate signing request that includes the public key for the virtual server. The virtual server signs the request with the private key of the virtual server. The manager server, upon receiving the request, creates a public key certificate and signs the certificate with the private key of the manager server. The manager server then sends the public key certificate to the virtual server.

Abstract: An intermediary server allows endpoints connected to two different types of conferencing systems to participate in an integrated conference without requiring plugins to be installed at each endpoint. A conference identifier provided by a first type of conferencing system can be used by endpoints of a second type of conferencing system by allowing the intermediary server to send the conference identifier to a server of the first type of conferencing system and receive a link that a server of the second type of conferencing system can use to connect to the first type of conferencing system.
