  • Patent number: 12317782
Abstract: The present invention relates to an elongated sheet (1) for covering agricultural cultivated plants (2) for generating a greenhouse climate in the covered area, having an elongated basic film (3) made of plastic, wherein a ventilation area (5) extending in the longitudinal direction (L) of the sheet is provided in the central area of the basic film (4) and having a plurality of ventilation openings (6), wherein a cover film (9) of plastic extending in longitudinal sheet direction (L) of the basic film (3) is applied to the ventilation area (5) forming free spaces (11) for air exchange and is firmly welded to the basic film (3) via a plurality of connection areas (10) following one another in longitudinal sheet direction (L).

  • Patent number: 11751518
Abstract: The invention refers to a tying system employing an accessory bearing a quick attachment hook, for tying a plastic cover film for agricultural crops such as soft fruit covers. Cultivation of soft fruits in covered space has been growing in recent decades. Several solutions have been developed including greenhouses or gable systems. The placement, fastening and fixing of the plastic film is achieved with ropes, elastic cords or soft PVC tubing. However, the cost of binding the plastic film is significant as skilled staff and considerable amounts of man hours are required to tie the plastic film to the supporting structure. Tying the film, in most cases, is carried out by employing knots on grommets that the plastic films.

  • Patent number: 10624274
Abstract: A multilayer plastic film for perennial agricultural use (1) either in greenhouses or under low tunnels (2) that, self-adjusts the shading provided in the covered space (4). The shading effect can be present in the whole surface of the film, or it could be partial at specific surfaces (3) where shading would be most needed. The shading is achieved by incorporating a photochromic compound or a combination of photochromic compounds in a layer of multiple layers in a multilayer film (1). The layer or layers that incorporate the photochromic compound or compounds are protected from oxidation by bilateral layers that incorporate materials that exhibit low permeability to gases and in particular to oxygen. The advantage of the film is that the grower would not need to apply any shading material on the surface of the film and/or any mechanism to facilitate opening and closing of the shading material.

  • Publication number: 20060154022
Abstract: The invention refers to a plastic film for coverage with loose openings for weight insertion at its edges that is used in linear cultivations whose edges (3) have been elongated up to 100% and have been folded and welded onto the main part of the plastic film with consecutive umbrella weldings (7). Due to the elongation of its edges (3) and the shape of the umbrella weldings (7), consecutive hoppers (8) are formed along the edge of the film. During the use of the film and due to the inclination that the film has towards its edges the hoppers (8)) that form the loose openings for the fluid material in the weight insertion vaults (9) can readily accumulate any fluid material (11,12) and guide it by means of gravity to the weight vaults (9) where it is entrapped. Hence the weight insertion process becomes a rather simple matter without excessive cost and strenuous work.
