Abstract: A reception system includes: a visitor recognition unit that recognizes a visitor; a receiving person recognition unit that recognizes a receiving person that corresponds to the visitor; a receiving person contact information storage unit that stores contact information of the receiving person; a notification unit that notifies the receiving person of a visit of the visitor at the contact information of the receiving person stored by the receiving person contact information storage unit; and a receiving person selection unit that selects a substitute receiving person associated with the receiving person in a case where the receiving person is absent when the notification unit notifies the receiving person at the contact information of the receiving person, wherein the notification unit notifies the substitute receiving person selected by the receiving person selection unit when the receiving person is absent.

Abstract: A reception system includes: an imaging unit that captures an image; a reception information storage unit that stores an image of a visitor who visited in the past and information of a receiving person whom the visitor visited in the past in an associated manner; and an action performing unit that generates a question to the visitor based on a scenario regarding a response to the visitor and acquires information via a response to the question from the visitor, wherein the action performing unit changes a response presented to the visitor based on the scenario depending on whether or not the reception information storage unit stores an image that corresponds to the image captured by the imaging unit.

A name specifying portion specifies a name indicated by the voice on the basis of the first name list. A checking portion selects a phoneme string of a second name corresponding to a phoneme string of the name specified by the name specifying portion by referring to the second name list when a user answers that the name specified by the name specifying portion is not the correct name.

Abstract: A sign language action generating device includes: a word string input unit; a trace creation unit that extracts a sign language action data for each word of a pair of words inputted as a word string and creates a trace between an end point position of a sign language action having the same meaning as a prior word of the pair of words and a start point position thereof having the same meaning as a posterior word; an interference determination unit that determines whether or not interference is generated between parts of a robot on each trace; an action connection unit that connects sign language actions; and an action adjustment unit that adjusts a position coordinate or a velocity of the pair of words within a prescribed threshold of a shift amount or an evaluation function within which meanings of the prior word and the posterior word can be maintained.

Abstract: The present invention aims to provide an autonomous moving robot capable of visibly showing the human an initial check result for a sound input means in the initial stage after the robot device is turned on and activated, and whether or not the input sound was normally recognized. The robot has ears 9a, 9b respectively comprising microphones 10a, 10b for external sound input, and LED displays 11a, 11b with a plurality of luminescent portions around the respective microphones. The luminescent portions of the LED displays 11a, 11b indicate the judgment of the initial check on whether or not the ears 9a, 9b (the microphones 10a, 10b and the LED displays 11a, 11b) are normally functioning when the robot is turned on and activated, by means of the lighting states of the displays.
