  • Publication number: 20070080170
Abstract: A condiment dispenser includes one or more condiment chambers for holding condiments. Each condiment chamber is connected to a common discharge chamber or to a respective discharge chamber, the discharge chamber(s) having an outlet for dispensing condiments from the condiment chamber(s). Each connection may be formed through a respective tube. A flow control mechanism may control the flow from a condiment chamber to a discharge chamber. The mechanism may be a dial that is operable to compress and decompress the tube. The dial may move between numerous positions and retain any position between uses. A dispersing element may be positioned respective to the outlet of a discharge chamber to control the dispensing and dispersing of condiments. In an example operation, the flow control mechanism(s) are adjusted to a desired flow and the dispenser is inverted, causing condiment(s) to flow from the condiment chamber(s) and into the discharge chamber(s), where the condiments are dispensed and dispersed.

  • Publication number: 20070062932
Abstract: A system for heating substances like oils, lotions, waxes, and gels, includes a container and a separate base unit with at least one heating element. The container with the substance therein is placed onto the base unit to heat the substance. The container is then removed from the base unit to dispense the substance. The container may include a heat conductive surface(s), like metal, to heat the substance more efficiently. The base unit may include a pressure switch connected to the heating element. The switch is configured such that placing the container on the base unit moves the switch to an on position, turning on the heating element, and removing the container moves the switch to an off position, turning off the heating element. The system may further include a glove that receives the container with a heated substance. The glove insulates the container helping to retain heat and making the container easier to handle.

  • Publication number: 20050247904
Abstract: A composite of nanoscale oxide ceramic phases is dispersed in a non-oxide ceramic matrix material. The non-oxide ceramic phase may be silicon-carbon-nitrogen-based, and imparts resistance to mechanical degradation, resistance to chemical degradation, and resistance to oxidation at temperatures up to 1800° C. The nanodispersed oxide phase is selected according to desired functional properties, including coefficient of thermal expansion, rheology, ferromagnetic and superparamagnetic properties, superdielectric properties, and superpiezolectric and electrostrictive properties. A method is provided for making a nanocomposite ceramic fiber having a nanodispersion of zirconia in a silicon-carbon-nitrogen ceramic phase. A method is provided for making a soft ferromagnetic ceramic having a nanodispersion of ferrite in a zirconia in a silicon-carbon-nitrogen ceramic phase.
