Abstract: A method and apparatus for automatically updating a device that has intermittent network connectivity are described in this disclosure. The method includes receiving, at an electronic device from a server, a notification containing information about a promotion for at least one product, determining, based on the received notification, a change in the promotion for the at least one product, updating an action associated with the promotion based on the determined change in the promotion, and executing the updated action associated with the promotion without a network connection to the server.
