  • Patent number: 4754994
Abstract: The invention relates to a stub support for connecting and supporting a hose connection wherein the stub has a rounded cross-section and is in configuration with peaks and valleys with steep tapering flanks facing the connection side of the stub and long tapering flanks facing the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 4606302
Abstract: A temperature insert for a cooling medium mixing thermostat of internal combustion engines includes, in addition to a first expansion capsule arranged in the mixing space and supported at the housing by way of a piston rod, a second expansion capsule; the first expansion capsule thereby has a higher actuating temperature than the second expansion capsule and carries both a radiator return valve as also a by-pass valve which cooperate alternately with their respective valve seats. The second expansion capsule is exposed to the temperature of the cooling medium in the radiator return line and actuates by way of a common piston rod the radiator return valve and the by-pass valve by movement of the first expansion capsule when the temperature in the radiator return line reaches the actuating temperature of the second expansion capsule.

  • Patent number: 4473037
Abstract: In a cooling circuit for internal combustion engines which includes a cooling jacket of the engine, a coolant pump, a radiator, a mixing thermostat, and an expansion tank, an excess-pressure valve is connected in the area between the cooling jacket and the radiator and a vacuum valve is connected in the area between the radiator valve of the mixing thermostat and the suction side of the coolant pump; both valves are connected with the coolant reservoir in the expansion tank which in communication with the atmosphere, is without excess pressure; high excess pressure values as well as low vacuum values in the cooling circuit are precluded thereby; a vent valve provides for an especially effective venting of the cooling circuit into the expansion tank in cooperation with the sucking back of coolant into the cooling circuit by means of the vacuum valve.

  • Patent number: 4201169
Abstract: A control installation for the idling rotational speed of internal combustion engines, in which a by-pass control valve is provided that is controlled by an actuating device dependent on the suction pipe pressure and is located in parallel to a throttle valve which can be selectively actuated; the opening cross section of the by-pass valve which increases with increasing suction pipe pressure, thereby increases progressively.
