  • Patent number: 5613876
Abstract: A body-mounted connector having on one side a shroud with a mating connector socket and on the other side a terminal housing member. The connector is secured to the body member of an automobile with the front edge of the shroud projecting from a mounting hole opened in the body member. A spacer can slide freely along the inside surface of the shroud. An initial engagement member for holding the spacer in the partially engaged position is formed on the shroud. A movable locking member projects at the front edge of the shroud. The spacer slides along the movable locking member such that when the spacer is moved to the main engagement position, the movable locking member moves with the spacer to the body engagement position, and locks the connector to the body member.

  • Patent number: 5356302
Abstract: A joint connector comprising a plurality of terminals a housing and a bus bar plate. Each terminal accommodated in one of terminal-accommodating chambers of the housing has a slit groove making a right angle with a direction in which the terminal is inserted into the terminal-accommodating chamber. The housing has a slit opening formed at a position corresponding to the position of the slit groove. The bus bar plate is inserted into the housing via the slit opening. The lower end of the bus bar plate is pressed against the slit groove while the upper end of the bus bar plate is positioned inside the slit opening. In this manner, the bus bar plate is fixed to the housing.
