Abstract: An instrument guiding device featuring a base having an aperture for a catheter; one or more legs disposed on the base; a first plate and a second plate each extending upwardly from the base perpendicularly to each other, the second plate is pivotally attached to the base; a guide component having an inner channel adapted to receive the catheter, the first end of the guide component is pivotally attached to the second plate, the guide component can be pivoted toward sides of the second plate; a first scale disposed on the first plate, a second scale disposed on the second plate; reference markers on the second plate and on the guide component; and a temporary attachment means for holding the second plate in place with respect to the first plate and for holding the guide component in place with respect to the second plate.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for accessing contact records in an electronic device with multiple operation perimeters is provided. When accessing contact records from within one operation perimeter, only contact information accessible from that operation perimeter is retrieved. An option is provided to also access contact records of an alternative operation perimeter. If the alternative operation perimeter has a higher security level than the current operation perimeter, a password or other authorization may be required. The contact records may be accessed, for example, to find information for an outgoing communication, to identify information associated with an incoming communication, or to edit a contact record.

The sensory vascular clip is configured to open and close and includes first and second clamping portions, each having a pinching surface, a coil spring for pressing said pinching surfaces together when the clip is in a closed position, the coil spring including at least one coil loop, a first and second branch resiliently connected to the coil spring, wherein the first and the second branch cross over each other at a crossing point, a transmitter, and a sensor configured to detect signals from the transmitter.

The method comprises storing a chat state indicative of interactivity with a chat feature in a social networking application; detecting resumption of the social networking application subsequent to an interruption thereto; determining the chat state; and restoring the chat feature for the social networking application to the determined chat state. The method may also, upon detecting inactivity with respect to the chat feature, comprise executing one or more operations to maintain a connection with a server for the social networking application according to a first communications protocol. The method may also, upon detecting that a second period of time has elapsed subsequent to detecting inactivity, comprise receiving data associated with the chat feature according to a second communications protocol.
