  • Patent number: 7719597
Abstract: Distortion data discretely stored in a distortion data memory 8 are read out by a selector 9 and fed to a signal processor 5. For each coordinate position, the signal processor 5 calculates an approximation formula representing an image height-distortion curve based on the distortion data fed thereto, and performs distortion correction based on the approximation formula.

  • Patent number: 6474273
Abstract: A control system for a reversible internal combustion engine comprising an AC magneto generator to generate an AC output voltage and a signal generator to generate pulse signals of polarity different from each other with a relation between the phases of the AC output and the pulse signals set so that the half waves of the output voltage having the same polarity when the two pulse signals of different polarities are generated whereby the rotational direction of the engine is judged from the polarity of the half wave of the output voltage of the magneto generator when the signal generator generates the pulse signal of either polarity and the engine is ignited at the low speed ignition position after it is confirmed that the rotational direction of the engine is reversed.

  • Patent number: 5584280
Abstract: Ignition operation is carried out by charging a capacitor (C1) of an ignition circuit (3) by means of an output of a positive half cycle of an exciter coil (104) and discharging charges in the capacitor (C1) through a thyristor (Th1). A transistor (Tr4) is turned on when a level of a detected value (Vb) of an output voltage of a negative half cycle of the exciter coil coincides with a level of a reference voltage (Vr), resulting in a reference signal being generated. Measuring of an ignition timing operated by a microcomputer (4) is started at a generation position of the reference signal, so that the ignition timing is measured, the thyristor (Th1) is fed with an ignition signal, leading to ignition operation. A generation position of the reference signal is rendered constant by varying a reference voltage (Vr) depending on an output voltage of the exciter coil and an output frequency thereof.

  • Patent number: 5433184
Abstract: A capacitor discharge type ignition system for an internal combustion engine capable of rendering rising of a secondary voltage rapid, prolonging a duration of a secondary discharge current, and preventing a reduction in output of an engine by incomplete combustion due to a decrease in concentration of fuel. A switching element which is rendered forcibly non-conductive such as an FET 6 is used as a discharge switch for carrying out discharge of an ignition energy accumulating capacitor 2. When an ignition signal Vi for determining each of ignition timings is generated, the FET is fed a trigger signal Vt to render the FET turned on, to thereby charges in the capacitor to be discharged through the FET to a primary winding 1a of an ignition coil 1. When the discharge current reaches a set value, the trigger signal is caused to be zero to render the FET turned off to interrupt discharge of the capacitor.

  • Patent number: 4809661
Abstract: An ignition system for an internal combustion engine capable of carrying out operaton of an ignition position using a generating coil arranged in a magneto as a signal coil and without using an integrating circuit. For this purpose, in the ignition system, a trigger circuit for supplying a semiconductor switch with a trigger signal includes a delay rotation region setting circuit detecting that a rotational speed of an engine enters a delay rotation region to generate a delay region signal, a reference signal generating circuit for generating reference signals of different levels depending on the delay region signal, and a trigger signal generating circuit for comparing the output signal of the signal coil with the reference signal to generate a trigger signal.

  • Patent number: 4651705
Abstract: In an ignition system for an internal combustion engine, positive half cycles of an output of the exciter coil are used as the ignition energy. A signal coil outputs a maximum advance angle side signal whose magnitude exceeds a threshold at the maximum advance angle position and a minimum advance angle side signal whose magnitude exceeds a threshold at the minimum advance angle position. An ignition timing control circuit is responsive to a maximum advance angle position indicating pulse derived from the maximum advance angle side signal and a minimum advance angle position indicating pulse derived from the minimum advance angle side signal for producing an ignition signal. The exciter coil and the signal coil have such a phase relation that the minimum advance angle side signals are produced during the negative half cycles of the exciter coil when the engine is rotating forward, and are produced during the positive half cycles of the when the engine is rotating backward.
