  • Patent number: 8047610
Abstract: A vehicle seat that includes a support base, a seat back tiltably supported on the support base, a seat cushion, a first link and a second link. Each of the first and second links is pivotally coupled to the support base and the seat cushion, so that a multi-link mechanism is formed by the support base, the seat cushion, the first link and the second link. A coupling device couples the seat back to the first link, so that the first link can pivot relative to the support base and the seat cushion in response to the tilting movement of the seat back. The tilting movement of the seat back causes the seat cushion to shift toward the support base, while a coupling point between the first link and the seat cushion and a coupling point between the second link and the seat cushion move substantially in the same direction relative to the support base.

  • Patent number: 8038198
Abstract: A vehicle seat includes a support base, a seat back tiltably supported on the support base, a seat cushion, a first link and a second link. Each of the first and second links is pivotally coupled to the support base and the seat cushion, so that a quadrant link mechanism is formed by the support base, the seat cushion, the first link and the second link. A coupling device couples the seat back to the first link at a position between a first coupling point and a second coupling point. • Patent number: 8038217
Abstract: The present invention provides a vehicle seat capable of performing a tilt-down operation in which a seat back is widely tilted forwardly to be folded on a seat cushion while a seat cushion is moved forwardly and a walk-in operation in which the seat back is half tilted forwardly over a desired angle while the seat is slid forwardly via a slide rail. The seat includes a frame member that is capable of longitudinally sliding via the slide rail and that supports the seat back via a reclining device so as to tilt the seat back back and forth, a front link connecting the seat cushion to the frame member so as to allow the seat cushion to move longitudinally, and an interlock mechanism that can be controlled so as to move or to not move the seat cushion forwardly with respect to the frame member when the seat back is tilted forwardly. At the time of the tilt-down operation, the interlock mechanism is controlled so as to move the seat cushion forwardly when the seat back is tilted forwardly.

  • Patent number: 5818933
Abstract: A copyright control system for performing access control to copyright digital information. The copyright control system is equipped with an encryption/decryption hardware 11 which accepts encrypted copyright digital information from an option hardware 6 or an FDD unit 3 through a sub-data bus 23. The encryption/decryption hardware 11 decrypts the encrypted digital information using a decryption key obtained from a copyright control center for primary utilization of the encrypted digital information and inputted from an CPU 1.

  • Patent number: 5642365
Abstract: It is an object of this invention to carry out error correcting coding for random errors and cell loss effectively and to obtain a transmitter for coding error correction codes and a receiver for decoding error correction codes on a transmission frame which minimizes transmission delay. This apparatus includes several elements. A buffer memory divides N data symbols of a data transmission cell into p blocks and stores the p data blocks for each of L cells to form a transmission frame. A check code generator carries out the error correcting coding in the unit of p blocks in a direction orthogonal to the direction of transmission. A cell composer selects a specific cell of p blocks having N data symbols and generates a transmission cell. A counter appends an identifier to the top of cells in the transmission direction. The cell with the identifier is transmitted after being replaced with a part of the coding cells as requested.

  • Patent number: 5420873
Abstract: An apparatus for decoding a received BCH code signal for correcting a combined complex error is disclosed which includes a syndrome generating circuit for generating two n-bit syndromes corresponding to the received signal, a syndrome converting circuit for converting the two n-bit syndromes to a 2n-bit syndrome, a random error correcting circuit, a burst error correcting circuit, two combining circuits and output selecting circuit. The random error correcting circuit inputs the two n-bit syndromes and outputs a random error correction signal to one of the combining circuits and the burst error correcting circuit inputs the 2n-bit syndrome and outputs a burst error correction signal to the other of the combining circuits. The combining circuits combine the correction signals to the received BCH code signal.

  • Patent number: 4897839
Abstract: Disclosed is a coding and decoding method, in which a certain promised nonzero symbol is appended for coding and decoding, thereby disallowing the presence of a codeword with all-"0" data after coding. The method enables the detection of a fault in an external circuitry by checking the occurrence of an all-"0" received word attributable to the external circuitry.

  • Patent number: 4841300
Abstract: A separate operational section for determining the degree of a polynomial is provided to increase the process speed in determining both error locator and evaluator polynomials. When a received word is decoded based on the error location found, the received word is stored in a memory and corrected and output through the designation of the address. The formula ##EQU1## is derived from the error locator equation ##EQU2## and the value of which satisfies .sigma.(.alpha.)=0 is determined to increase the process speed. The decoder and the encoder share part of the hardware to make the system compact.
