  • Publication number: 20190277918
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a battery monitoring device monitors voltage of a battery cell via a first filter circuit connected to both ends of the battery cell and a second filter that is located in a subsequent stage of the first filter circuit and includes a plurality of voltage measurement paths for the battery cell. The battery monitoring device includes a multiplexer to selectively switch a plurality of voltage measurement paths, an AD converter to convert, into a digital signal, an analog signal transmitted on the voltage measurement path selected by the multiplexer, and a digital filter circuit to perform filtering that removes a frequency component higher than a predetermined frequency component, on the digital signal.

  • Patent number: 9753089
Abstract: A battery cell monitoring system includes multiple battery monitoring circuits, each connected to a corresponding battery cell, and a microcomputer for controlling the monitoring circuits. The battery monitoring circuits include a data output circuit that outputs a data signal corresponding to the monitoring results for the battery cell monitored thereby and a multiplexer that outputs either the monitoring results received from the data output circuit or monitoring results received from another battery monitoring circuit. The battery cell monitoring circuit includes a flip-flop circuit receiving a clock signal and the signal output from the multiplexer which is latched in synchronization with the clock signal.

  • Publication number: 20150077124
Abstract: An assembled battery module includes battery cells connected in series, resistors, a voltage measuring unit, failure detection switches, and a control unit. Each resistor is connected between a positive or negative electrode of the corresponding battery cell and a corresponding node for the positive or negative electrode. Each failure detection switch is connected between the two nodes corresponding to positive and negative electrodes of a battery cell to allow on-off switching between the two nodes. The control unit detects a disconnection between a positive or negative electrode of a battery cell to a corresponding node based on first and second voltages measured between two nodes, the first voltage being measured when one of the two failure detection switches connected to the corresponding node is switched from on to off and the second voltage being measured when the other failure detection switch is switched from on to off.
