Abstract: Developing apparatus includes a developing housing and a toner supply housing which is pivotal to a first position on which the toner supply housing comes in engagement with the developing housing so that an opening of the developing housing is covered so as not to be accessible from the outside or to a second position on which the toner supply housing is spaced from the developing housing so that the opening is made to be able to be accessible from the outside.

Abstract: An image forming machine in which a detachable process cartridge having a photoreceptor drum is provided. On the frame of the process cartridge, a magnetic connector is provided, in which a magnet and an outer plate surrounding the magnet are assembled, and a leaf spring is provided between the frame and the magnet. The process cartridge is positively grounded through the magnetic connector when the process cartridge is fully inserted into the main body of the machine, due to the magnetic connection to a plate of the main body.

Abstract: An image recording apparatus having a toner reservoir. The toner reservoir is removably mounted on the process cartridge or a developing device in the image recording apparatus. The toner reservoir is composed of a supply toner reserving unit having a supply opening and a recovery toner container having a waste toner recovery opening. The supply toner reserving unit and said recovery toner reserving unit are connected with each other through a connecting member, the supply toner reserving unit being arranged rotatably while the recovery toner reserving unit being fixed with the recovery opening thereof facing upward.

Abstract: A toner cartridge for supplying a toner to a photo-copy machine and collecting a waste portion of the toner after a copy operation with the photo-copy machine, comprising; a cylindrical body for providing a supplement toner containing room and a waste toner collecting room by means of a separating wall inside, the separating wall for dividing the supplement toner containing room and the waste toner collecting room, an outlet being located on the wall of the cylindrical body at the side of the supplement toner containing room for supplying the toner contained in the room into the photo-copy machine, and an inlet being located on the wall of the cylindrical body at the side of the waste toner collecting room for collecting the waste portion of the toner from the photo-copy machine, in which the separating wall is angled so that its surface is leaned toward the supplement toner containing room or the waste toner collecting room.

Abstract: The invention provides a toner recovery device for collecting toner from a cleaning device into a recovery toner container. The device includes a toner conveyance, an operating lever and a shutter. The tone conveyance has a conveyance pipe whose base end portion is rotatably connected to the cleaning device and tip end portion with an outlet opening is detachably coupled to an inlet opening of the recovery toner container so that the tip end portion is pivotted around the base end portion so as to take the coupled position and the detached position. The operating lever is linked to the conveying pipe for pivotting the tip end portion between the coupled position and the detached position. The shutter is adapted to move on the conveying pipe interlockingly with the movement of the operating lever so that the shutter closes the outlet opening of the conveying pipe on the detached position and opens the outlet opening on the coupled position.

Abstract: An electrostatic recording apparatus wherein a fixing device can be pulled out from a predetermined operating position, a transfer portion is separated from an image retainer and the pressure contact between a fixing roller and a press roller is released in operative connection with the operation of pulling out the fixing device.
