  • Patent number: 10410738
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a memory system includes a memory, an error correcting circuit and a memory controller. The memory includes a memory cell which is writable in a memory mode including a first mode and a second mode. The first mode is a mode in which a value of bits is written to the memory cell. The second mode is a mode in which a value of bits smaller than that in the first mode is written to the memory cell. The memory controller controls a coding rate for the error correction on the basis of result of error correction. The controller sets the first mode as the memory mode to be used. The controller changes the memory mode to be used from the first mode to the second mode in a case where the coding rate is less than a first threshold.

  • Publication number: 20150074492
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a memory system includes nonvolatile memory, and a memory controller. The nonvolatile memory includes a plurality of blocks, each including a plurality of pages. The memory controller controls the nonvolatile memory. Here, the memory controller detects a first page of which a required minimum shift amount of a read voltage is largest for each block by reading data stored respectively in the plurality of pages while performing error detection. Further, the memory controller detects a second page of which the required minimum shift amount of a read voltage is larger than a predetermined first threshold by reading data stored in the first page of each of the blocks while shifting the read voltage in a first range, and performing error detection. Further, the memory controller refreshes data stored in the block having the second page.

  • Publication number: 20050243060
Abstract: A two-dimensional position detection unit takes the procedure so that two ultrasonic speakers attached to both end portions of a wrist outputs an ultrasonic wave while five ultrasonic microphones attached to fingertips detect it. The two-dimensional position detection unit measures time difference from output to detection of the ultrasonic wave. Then, the two-dimensional position detection unit calculates a two-dimensional position of each fingertip attached with the ultrasonic microphones based on the time difference. Further, an action detecting unit detects an occurrence of a predetermined change in acceleration outputted by the acceleration sensors attached to each fingertip and having sensitivity in the direction vertical to a palm of a hand (x-y plane). Then, the action detecting unit recognizes an action of hitting a keyboard.

  • Publication number: 20020156952
Abstract: A controller resets a whole bus and enters connection waiting state upon detecting disconnection of a USB device, registers all connected USB devices by giving sequential addresses beginning from a predetermined value, communicates with each of registered USB devices, and responsive to a response from the USB device, sequentially broadcasts data to all the registered USB devices or transmits the data to a particular USB device. A bus configuration register registers one of three device types including a hub, USB device, and others based on a device address, wherein the bus configuration register is cleared when said controller enters the connection waiting state. A pattern determination unit, responsive to detection of connection of a USB device, determines whether or not the connected device is the supporting device based on whether or not a predetermined portion of a configuration descriptor of the connected device matches a predetermined pattern.
