    Abstract: An electrical connector includes contacts and an insulator fixedly retaining the contacts. The insulator includes a substantially plate-like fitting portion. Each of the contacts includes a first contact portion for connection to a counterpart connector, and a second contact portion being continuous with the first contact portion and formed at a tip side of the contact. The first contact portion is disposed so as to be exposed on one side of the fitting portion, and the second contact portion is disposed such that at least part of the second contact portion is exposed at a surface of the fitting portion on the other side of the fitting portion.
