  • Patent number: 6597871
Abstract: A digital camera includes a power supply battery; an electric double layer condenser which accumulates a charge of electricity supplied from the battery; and a power supply circuit board, connected to the power supply battery, provided on a bottom portion of the digital camera body and lying substantially in parallel with the bottom side of the digital camera body, the power supply circuit board being provided with a cut-away portion. The electric double layer condenser is located in the cut-away portion and protrudes from at least one of upper and lower surfaces of the power supply circuit board. The electric double layer condenser is electrically connected to the power supply circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20020130964
Abstract: A digital camera having a camera body includes a small memory card receiving member, a large memory card receiving member having a width larger than the width of the small memory card receiving member, and a forward projecting portion having a inclined portion which gradually protrudes in a forward direction toward a bottom portion of the camera body, the forward projecting portion being located below a lens barrel of the digital camera. The small and large memory card receiving members are provided within the forward projecting portion in the camera body, the small memory card receiving member being located above the large memory card receiving member and located within the inclined portion in the camera body. A front end of the small memory card receiving member is located at a position more rearward than a front end of the large memory card receiving member.

  • Patent number: 6421247
Abstract: A card slot door locking mechanism includes a card slot into which a removable card can be inserted; a card slot door which is rotatable between a closed position and an open position, the card slot-door being biased to rotate in a direction towards the closed position; and a pair of door locking members positioned away from each other in a widthwise direction of the card slot. Each of the pair of door locking members locks the card slot door independent of each other when the pair of door locking members are in a free state. Furthermore, both of the pair of door locking members concurrently unlock the card slot door when the pair of door locking members are concurrently pushed by the removable card when the removable card is properly inserted into the card slot.

  • Publication number: 20020075394
Abstract: A mirror box comprises a quick return mirror and an optical lcw-pass filter. When observing a subject image, the quick return mirror is set to a reflecting position, in which the quick return to mirror is inclined to the optical axis of a photographing lens group by approximately 45 degrees so that incident light is reflected to a view-finder. The optical low-pass filter is set to anon-functioning position, in which the optical low-pass filter is inclined to be parallel to the quick return mirror, and is close to the quick return mirror. When carrying out a photographing operation, the quick return mirror is retracted from the optical axis, and is set to a retracted position, which is parallel to the optical axis. The optical low-pass filter is set to a functioning position which is perpendicular to the optical axis.

  • Publication number: 20010008581
Abstract: A card slot door locking mechanism including a pair of doors, each of the pair of doors being rotatable between a closed position and an open position, and being biased to the closed position; a pair of open guide surfaces which are formed on each respective door of the pair of doors so that the pair of doors concurrently rotate to the open position when the pair of open guide surfaces are concurrently pushed by the removable card; and a pair of barrier surfaces which are formed on each respective door of the pair of doors so that at least one of the pair doors is prevented from rotating toward the open position when at least one of the pair of barrier surfaces is pushed by an object other than the removable card without pushing the pair of open guide surfaces concurrently.

  • Publication number: 20010007469
Abstract: A digital camera includes a position sensor which detects a position of the camera body relative to the direction of gravity, an acceleration sensor which detects an acceleration acted upon the camera body, a memory in which image data of a captured image is recorded, and a controller. If the magnitude of the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor when the captured image is produced is smaller than a predetermined value, the controller records the image data in the memory together with positional data of the camera body that is detected by the position sensor. If the magnitude of the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor when the captured image is produced is equal to or greater than the predetermined value, the controller deems the data on the position of the camera body as invalid data and records only the image data in the memory.
