  • Patent number: 9111514
Abstract: A storage stores at least one set of registration data comprising a plurality of tone setting parameters. An instruction section instructs readout of the registration data set from the storage. A controller makes a setting such that the parameters in the registration data set are used in response to an instruction for reading out the registration data set, and makes a setting such that at least one or some of the tone setting parameters in the one set of registration data are used at delayed readout timing later than a time point at which the instruction has been issued. Thus, two or more sub-sets of the parameters in the registration data set can be set to be used at mutually different timing. Namely, a sub-set of the parameters can be set to be used at delayed readout timing later than a time at which a readout instruction has been issued.

  • Patent number: 8495168
Abstract: An electronic musical instrument and a portable terminal are connected to a wireless LAN. The wireless LAN is connected to an Internet via a router. A distribution server residing on the Internet is a server which provides Internet services. A pairing between the electronic musical instrument and the portable terminal is established to conduct Internet communications in a pair. Processes from accessing the distribution server to specifying a desired service are performed by use of the portable terminal. The distribution server distributes data corresponding to the service specified by the portable terminal to the electronic musical instrument. A user is thus allowed to use the desired service on the electronic musical instrument.

  • Patent number: 7964780
Abstract: Each of a plurality of pad devices that can be moved independent of each other includes: a sensor section for detecting a strike; and a transmitting section for transmitting operation information according to an output of the sensor section with wireless communication. A receiving section is provided in connection with a sound generating device to receive the operation information transmitted from each of the pad devices with wireless communication. The sound generating device generates a musical tone signal in accordance with the received operation information. A pad location detecting section detects a location of each of the pad devices. The sound generating device carries out tone generation control, for example, sound image localization control, for the musical tone signal generated in correspondence with each of the pad devices in accordance with the location of each of the pad devices detected by the pad location detecting section.

  • Patent number: 7848699
Abstract: In an electronic musical instrument, an interface part obtains user information from a dedicated accessory device logically connected to the electronic musical instrument. An access part accesses a server using the user information obtained through the interface part. A character information acquisition part obtains character information which represents a character and which corresponds to the user information, from the server or the dedicated accessory device. A lesson information acquisition part obtains, from the server, lesson information which represents a lesson work to be practiced. A control part performs control operation to display the character created based on the character information obtained by the character information acquisition part while the electronic musical instrument is logically connected to the dedicated accessory device through the interface part, and to display the lesson information when the lesson information has been obtained by the lesson information acquisition part.

  • Patent number: 7531737
Abstract: As a music equipment is connected to a music processing apparatus, necessary communication ports corresponding to the connected music equipment are automatically set in the processing apparatus. The thus-set communication ports are each assigned the name of the corresponding equipment so that the equipment and the communication ports can be associated with each other. Once the equipment is disconnected from the apparatus, the disconnected equipment is converted into a dummy state and displayed in a predetermined dummy display style. When a project file has been read which includes track data, identification information of a currently-set external equipment and parameters of the external equipment, the detected external equipment is associated with any one of external equipments which had been set for use at the time of storage of the project file. By transferring parameters, stored in a memory, to the external equipment that could be associated, parameter synchronization can be effected.
