    Abstract: Techniques are provided that enable displaying of medical images that depict cyclic motions in the subject. An X-ray CT system scans, with X-rays, the subject whose targeted region is experiencing a cyclic motion and acquires detection data. This X-ray CT system comprises a reconstruction processor, a moving image creator, and a display controller. The reconstruction processor generates a plurality of sets of volumetric data based on a plurality of sets of detection data that have been acquired during one cycle of the cyclic motion. The moving-image creator creates a moving image that shows the cyclic motion, on the basis of at least a part of the plural sets of volumetric data. The display controller superposes the moving image over an image based on the volumetric data and displays these images on the display unit.

    Abstract: An image processing system is provided, including an accepting unit, an acquisition unit, a measuring unit, and an output unit. The accepting unit accepts the setting of two coordinates in a stereoscopic image of a subject displayed on a stereoscopic image display device. The acquisition unit acquires volume data coordinates that are coordinates corresponding to stereoscopic image coordinates indicating the accepted coordinates. The measuring unit executes a measuring process of measuring the distance between the two coordinates accepted by the accepting unit, based on the volume data coordinates acquired by the acquisition unit. The output unit outputs a result of measurement by the measuring unit.

    Abstract: A coin magic device is disclosed which comprises a coin holder in which a coin is to be set, and a case into which the coin holder is to be introduced. The coin holder has formed on one side thereof a concavity which has a through-hole formed in the bottom thereof and in which the coin is to be set. The case has formed on the inner surface thereof a guide wall to guide the coin moving inside the case.The coin is set in the concavity of the coin holder. They are introduced into the case. When a key is inserted through the case from one of the slits in the case, the coin is moved from a set position to a offset position as guided by the guide wall. Thus, the key can be inserted through the slits in the case and through-hole in the coin holder, which will give the audience an illusion that the coin is pierced with the key.
