Abstract: Producing a feed additive composition for ruminants having a particle size of not less than 0.5 mm and not more than 2 mm, by granulating, in water, a molten mixture containing (A) at least one component selected from a hydrogenated vegetable oil and a hydrogenated animal oil each having a melting point of higher than 50° C. and lower than 90° C., (B) lecithin, and (C) at least one biologically active substance having solubility of not less than 0.001 g and not more than 60 g in 100 g of water at 20° C. affords a feed additive composition provided with high protection in rumen, and which is superior in dissolution in the lower gastrointestinal tract.
