  • Patent number: 5850213
Abstract: A three-dimensional image special effect apparatus wherein the motion of an image across a display screen is controlled by a track ball and rotary ring. The amount of movement is controlled and scaled according to the theoretical depth of the special image on the screen such that the greater the depth of the special image, the less it is moved by a given rotational amount of the track ball or rotary ring.

  • Patent number: 5739813
Abstract: A three-dimensional image special effect apparatus in which a track ball controls movement of a special image on a display screen. First and second rotation detection means detect the rotation of the track ball in first and second orthogonal directions. The apparatus further includes a device for comparing the outputs of the first and second rotation detectors and allowing only the one of the two outputs having higher value to be output.

  • Patent number: 5714982
Abstract: A three-dimensional image special effect apparatus wherein operation for setting a parameter can be performed simply and a special image can be moved smoothly to a distance only by a single manual operation of a track ball or a rotary ring is disclosed. A special image produced by an image special effect processing section is manually operated in first and second three-dimensional directions by a track ball and in a third three-dimensional direction by a rotary ring disposed along an outer periphery of the track ball. A condition in which a parameter for determining a condition of the special image can be set is established and a setting menu for setting a parameter which determines a condition of the special image is produced by a CPU. Under the control of the CPU, a cursor for designating a parameter on the setting menu is operated by way of the track ball, and a value of the parameter is set by way of the rotary ring.

  • Patent number: 5338704
Abstract: A conductive adhesive such as gold paste is coated and solidified on a lead provided on a frame for manufacture. Wire bonding between a semiconductor chip bonded to the frame and the lead provided thereon is effected between the semiconductor chip and a conductive adhesive layer solidified on the lead. It is thus possible to dispense with a conventional step of plating the frame (with gold) for effecting the wire bonding. In addition, it is possible to obtain reliable wire bonding irrespective of the kind of the base material of the frame or the surface roughness thereof. Further, it is possible to extremely simplify the process on the frame and save gold or like expensive material used as a plating material. Thus, it is possible to extremely reduce the cost of semiconductor device manufacture.

  • Patent number: 5221641
Abstract: A process is provided for making light emitting diodes by using wire segments each plated with a glossy metal. The process comprises the steps of bending each wire segment generally into a U-shape to have a pair of legs connected together by an integral connecting web, deforming the free end of one leg by transverse compression to provide a cup end, mounting a semiconductor chip in the cup end, connecting the semiconductor chip to the free end of the other leg through a wire, forming a transparent or semitransparent resin package to enclose the respective free ends of the paired legs, and cutting the connecting web off the wire segment.

  • Patent number: 4244262
Abstract: When the frequency of an input sound signal applied to a shifting type echo-machine is close to that of the shift pulse thereof, a false signal appears at the output terminal of the echo-machine, in addition to the other type of noise signal caused by inclusion of the shift pulse component in the output of the same. The present invention is an echo-machine provided with first and second low pass filters, arranged before and after the delay element included in the echo-machine respectively, with a variable cut-off frequency which varies in accordance with the frequency of the shift pulse thereby eliminating such an erroneous signal and the shift pulse component from the output signal of the echo-machine.
