  • Patent number: 11285954
Abstract: In a case in which a lane change operation is to be performed, a control unit performs travel control in accordance with a lane change mode selected among lane change modes. The lane change modes include a first mode in which the driver plans the lane change operation, and the driver issues an instruction to start the lane change operation, and a second mode in which the control unit plans the lane change operation, and the driver issues the instruction to start the lane change operation. An amount of operation performed by the driver to issue the instruction to the start of the lane change operation in the second mode is less than that in the first mode.
