  • Patent number: 9546627
Abstract: In a support structure of a direct fuel injection valve capable of supporting a fuel injection valve stably for a long period of time, a valve housing is made of a metal and is provided with a first load bearing portion which is to be supported by an engine in an axial direction of the valve housing, a rear end portion of the fixed core is provided with a second load bearing portion which is to be supported by a resilient holding member in the axial direction, and the first and second load bearing portions are held between the engine and the resilient holding members with a forward set load applied to the resilient holding member by a fuel distribution pipe fitted to a fuel inlet tube and fixed to the engine.

  • Patent number: 9506438
Abstract: In a fuel injection valve support structure, a pair of contact surfaces are formed on an intermediate portion of the valve so as to be opposite to each other with a plane therebetween, the plane including a center axis of the valve and a center line of a coupler, the elastic support member includes a base plate placed on a second load receiving portion, an elastic piece extending from the base plate, coming into pressure contact with a fuel supply cap elastically, and biasing the valve against an engine by a reaction force resulting from the contact, and a pair of rotation locking pieces extending from the base plate and coming into contact with the respective contact surfaces to restrict rotation of the valve about the axis, and at least one of the contact surfaces has a positioning groove for elastically engaging corresponding one of the rotation locking pieces.

  • Patent number: 9212641
Abstract: In a fuel injection valve supporting structure, a contact surface being orthogonal to a center axis of a fuel injection valve and opposed to a fuel supply cap is formed in an intermediate portion of the fuel injection valve, a supporting member includes a base plate set on the contact surface and an elastic piece extending from the base plate, the elastic piece includes: a first elastic portion extending from the one end of the base plate and bent upwards in a U-shape; and a second elastic portion extending from the first elastic portion toward the other end while bending upwards, bringing its apex into pressure contact with the fuel supply cap, and making a tip end portion thereof slidably come into contact with the base plate, and a curvature radius of the second elastic portion is set larger than a curvature radius of the first elastic portion.
