  • Publication number: 20080081643
Abstract: Even when the user carries a different combination of mobile devices on different days, the system can flexibly respond to those situations and misplacement of a mobile device can be prevented. Each mobile device includes a communication unit for communicating with other mobile devices, a GPS receiver for acquiring current location information of the mobile device, a group registration unit, a function-restricting unit for restricting a predetermined function, and a control unit. In each mobile device, other mobile devices located within a predetermined range of the mobile device are registered in the group registration unit as a group. After the registration, the other mobile devices located within the predetermined range of the mobile device are periodically detected, and the function-restricting unit is operated when the combination of the detected other mobile devices and the combination of the other mobile devices registered in the group registration unit differ.

  • Publication number: 20080081619
Abstract: A plurality of mobile devices interoperate without configuration operation. A mobile device system including a plurality of mobile devices is provided. Each mobile device is operable in one of an independent-operation mode in which the mobile device operates with priority over the other mobile devices and a dependent mode in which the mobile device operates dependently on another mobile device and includes a control unit having a start-up-order detection unit configured to detect the start-up order of the mobile device with respect to the other mobile devices. A first mobile device operates in the independent-operation mode when the start-up order of the first mobile device detected by the start-up-order detection unit is earlier than the start-up order of a second mobile device and operates in the dependent-operation mode when the start-up order is later than the start-up order of the second mobile device.

  • Publication number: 20060245008
Abstract: In a noise reduction apparatus or method, at least one of a luminance noise estimate value estimating a luminance noise of a target pixel and a chrominance noise estimate value estimating a chrominance noise of the target pixel is estimated in accordance with an average of luminance signals allocated to a first set of pixels including the target pixel. A noise reduction is performed to a selected one of the luminance noise and the chrominance noise one target pixel by one target pixel based on a corresponding one of a first set of information including the average of luminance signals and the luminance noise estimate value and a second set of information including an average of chrominance signals and the chrominance noise estimate value, the average of chrominance signals being allocated to a second set of pixels including the target pixel.

  • Publication number: 20060050980
Abstract: An image processing apparatus which calculates noise values based on signal levels of image signals and, reduces based on the noise values, the noise included in image signals which is output from a subject image sensor, including: a noise value output unit which, takes a certain image sensor as a baseline image sensor, stores correspondence relations between signal level values and noise values of output signals from the baseline image sensor, and outputs as first noise values the noise values of the baseline image sensor corresponding to signal level values of the image signals based on the correspondence relations; and, a noise value correction unit which compensates the first noise values to obtain second noise values corresponding to the subject image sensor using a prescribed variable which relates the noise characteristics of the baseline image sensor and of the subject image sensor.

  • Publication number: 20060017824
Abstract: In order to make it possible to reduce the noise which is generated in an imaging device 1 in an accurate manner, after the dark current noise has been eliminated from the signal from the imaging device 1 by a black level compensation section 2, noise reduction processing is performed by a noise reduction section 3 and elimination of shot noise is performed, and subsequently white balance compensation is performed by a white balance compensation section 4. When noise reduction processing is performed with this type of structure, it becomes possible to reduce the noise in an accurate manner, since the noise reduction is performed after the black level compensation and moreover before the white balance compensation.
