  • Patent number: 6513915
Abstract: A variable dot ink-jet printer having an ejection flow passage with a decrease in sectional area from an ejection port toward the interior of the flow passage and up to a boundary. A draw-in part draws an ink front position in the interior of the flow passage. A push-out part pushes out the ink front position outside the flow passage. When ejecting a small ink drop, the ink front position is drawn at a place having an increase in sectional area by the draw-in part. The ink is pushed outward by the push-out part at such a speed as to exit from an edge of an area of the boundary on the ejection port side.

  • Publication number: 20030017063
Abstract: A miniature pump includes a miniature pump portion including a suction passage through which a liquid flows in, and a discharge passage through which the liquid flows out, and a bubble trap portion for blocking an entry of air bubbles into the miniature pump portion. Since the bubble trap portion prevents the entry of air bubbles into the miniature pump portion, a deterioration of pump characteristics owing to the entry of air bubbles can be suppressed, making it possible to obtain a miniature pump that achieves both a large discharge flow rate and stable discharge flow rate characteristics.

  • Patent number: 6431742
Abstract: A continous mixing apparatus has an upper rotary disk and a lower rotary disk able to rotate independently of one another. A plurality of scrapers are attached to the upper and lower sides of the upper and lower rotary disks. Scrapers on the lower side of the lower rotary disk have a notch enabling the scrapers to pass over a lower ring plate in the mixer. Material to be mixed is supplied to an upper portion of the mixer, and the product is discharged from a lower portion of the mixer. The device is constructed to enable any subsequently replenished liquids to not rise to the top of the mixing apparatus. The device produces a mixture that is uniform, highly stable, and that has a small particle size or a low viscosity which can be manufactured quickly.

  • Patent number: 4058134
Abstract: An interceptor apparatus actuated by seismic and other vibrations comprising a substantially vertically movable rod, a weight capable of engagement with the rod and a plurality of pivotable support arms supporting the weight within a housing and held in a mechanically balanced state in entirety. When the apparatus undergoes seismic or other vibrations, the mechanical balance is lost, whereupon the weight is released from the support arms and is allowed to fall together with the vertically movable rod due to the gravitational forces, thereby effecting the switching of a related fluid circuit or electric circuit.
