  • Patent number: 11976859
Abstract: A refrigeration cycle apparatus includes a refrigeration cycle, an adsorption section, and a first bypass flow path. The refrigeration cycle includes a compressor, a radiator, an expansion mechanism, and an evaporator, and uses a non-azeotropic refrigerant mixture including a first refrigerant and a second refrigerant. The adsorption section includes an adsorbent and stores the first refrigerant adsorbed by the adsorbent. The adsorbent adsorbs the first refrigerant, and does not adsorb the second refrigerant or the adsorption performance thereof for the second refrigerant is lower than the adsorption performance thereof for the first refrigerant. The first bypass flow path connects a first end which is a high-pressure part of the refrigeration cycle and a second end which is a low-pressure part of the refrigeration cycle. The adsorption section and a valve are disposed in the first bypass flow path.

  • Publication number: 20140342861
Abstract: A stationary guide for an engine timing chain is mounted by engagement of two longitudinally space mounting holes with two pins protruding from an engine block. At least one of the holes is formed with a stop wall positioned to prevent improper reverse mounting of the guide. The stop wall can be positioned to allow an amount of lateral sliding of the stationary guide, or can be positioned so that its abutment with the end of a mounting pin positions the guide in proper alignment with the normal path of travel of the timing chain.

  • Patent number: 7226376
Abstract: In a hydraulic tensioner, an oil pressure control recess, at a proximal end of a cylindrical, plunger-receiving hole, receives from an oil supply, and also receives oil which oozes past a check valve and an inner sleeve inside the plunger, thereby returning the oil, which would leak to the outside in a conventional hydraulic tensioner, to the interior of the plunger.

  • Patent number: 7140604
Abstract: A parts retaining panel, especially useful in assembling the timing drive of an internal combustion engine, retains the timing components in the same arrangement that they are in when mounted on the engine. The parts can be stored and transported on stacked retaining panels, and, after the parts are mounted on the engine, the panel 32 is removed and reused. The parts retaining panel reduces assembly time, and prevents mounting of improper parts and inadvertent omission of parts.

  • Patent number: 7137916
Abstract: In a pivoting guide for a traveling transmission chain, composed of a synthetic resin body having a shoe and a slotted reinforcement, and a plate fitting into the slot, the plate has a mounting hole received on a boss formed on the guide body and coaxial with a mounting hole on the guide body which receives a pivot shaft. This structure facilitates assembly and mounting because the plate is securely attached to the guide body before the assembly is mounted. The plate does not contact the pivot shaft, and therefore full advantage is taken of the self-lubricating property of the synthetic resin. The boss may be elongated so that the length of the mounting hole of the guide body is greater than the width of the shoe so that wear in of the guide body due to biased loads is dispersed, and the useful life of the guide is extended.

  • Patent number: 6916264
Abstract: In a tensioner for a timing belt or chain in an engine, a plunger, which is spring-biased in a protruding direction, is temporarily held in a retracted condition by a pivoted U-shaped or L-shaped wire spring. The spring has a locking portion engageable with a pin or groove on the plunger, and two arms having ends remote from the locking portion. The ends are pivoted to the housing on laterally displaced pivot axes. The lateral displacement of the pivot axes causes the wire spring to be under stress when its locking portion is engaged with the plunger, and the stress urges the locking portion toward a disengaged position. Thus, the plunger is held in its retracted condition during assembly by the locking portion of the wire spring, but is automatically released by disengagement of the locking portion from the plunger when the plunger is moved farther in the retracting direction.

  • Patent number: 6428435
Abstract: A tensioner lever for chain drives has an internal space formed therein for accommodating within it at least a coiled portion of a torsion coil spring. The internal space has an opening for enabling the torsion coil spring to be assembled in the internal space. The lever body further has a boss disposed inside the internal space. The boss has an axial hole through which a pivot shaft extends and an outer peripheral surface around which the coiled portion of the torsion coil spring is loosely fitted, the axial hole and the outer peripheral surface being concentric with each other. The tensioner lever of the foregoing construction requires only a small space for installation to a mount surface and can be easily and speedily assembled onto the mount surface.

  • Patent number: 6095938
Abstract: A fixed chain guide for absorbing vibrations during running of a chain is composed of a shoe in sliding contact with the chain and a plate base supporting the shoe. The plate base is secured to a mounting surface by two mounting seats integral with the base plate. The mounting seats are formed by bending them in opposite directions along bend lines, to have the seats in an essentially common plane but extending in opposite directions from the bottom edge of the base plate. The base plate is punched out of sheet stock in such a way that failure will not occur at the respective bend lines of the mounting seat by forming the ends of the bend lines so that there is a shear surface on the outside of the bend and a rupture surface on the inside of the bend. Punching the stock originally produces a shear surface adjacent one surface of the stock at the ends of one of the bend lines and a rupture surface adjacent the other side of the stock.

  • Patent number: 6062998
Abstract: A shoe formed to relieve a sliding frictional resistance between a shoe for guiding the running of a transmission chain and the transmission chain, the cross-sectional shape of an incoming end and an outgoing end of a shoe (11) (11') for guiding a transmission chain is formed from a flat pressing-contact surface (12) for slidably guiding bottoms of all transmission chain plates. The flat surface extends longitudinally a short distance and transversely. The cross-sectional shape of an intermediate section between the incoming end and said outgoing end is formed with a convex pressing-contact surface (13A), (13B) for slidably guiding an bottom of less than all of the transmission chain plates, and has a transverse cross-section in which the pressing-contact surface or surfaces does not extend across the full width of the shoe to provide a recess for lubricant, and provide pressing-contact with less than all of the transmission chain plates.
