    Abstract: Disclosed is a curable silicone composition comprising: (A) an organopolysiloxane having a silicon-bonded unsaturated aliphatic radical; (B) an organopolysiloxane having a silicon-bonded mercaptoalkyl radical; and (C) a photoreaction-initiating amount of photoreaction initiator. The photoreaction initiator includes arylcarbonyl phosphine oxide compounds, having a radical selected from the group consisting of substituted and unsubstituted aryl radicals, and another two radicals selected from the group consisting of substituted and unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon radicals. The above silicone, composition is efficiently cured by visible light radiation and usable for photo-curable adhesives.

    Abstract: A photocurable adhesive composition for glass is disclosed, comprising (A) 100 parts by weight of a polyorganosiloxane having an average compositional formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group except for a vinyl group; 0<a.ltoreq.1; 0<b.ltoreq.2; and 1<a+b<3, (B) from 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of an aromatic ketone photo reaction initiator, and (c) from 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of a trialkenyl isocyanurate or a derivative thereof. The composition, when applied between glass plates or between a glass plate and other materials, can be cured with a small curing shrinkage by short-term irradiation of light transmitted by the glass plate. The cured composition exhibits satisfactory adhesion and excellent resistance to moisture and heat.

    Abstract: An addition curable polyorganosiloxane composition is stabilized against premature cure at room temperature by the presence of one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of (i) a silane compound represented by the following general formula:(R.sup.4).sub.n Si(OR.sup.5).sub.4-nin which R.sup.4 represents a member selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom and a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; R.sup.5 represents a substituted or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group containing a --C.tbd.C-- bond; "n" represents an integer of from 1 to 3; and at least one member selected from the group consisting of Si--H, Si--CH.dbd.CH.sub.2 and Si--C.tbd.CH bonds is contained in the molecule and (ii) an organosilane compound obtainable by subjecting the above silane compound to addition reaction between Si-H and --C.tbd.C-- bonds contained therein.The composition is highly stable at room temperature and can be stored for extended periods of time.

    Abstract: There is provided herein a curable silicone elastomer composition comprising the following components: (A) 100 parts by weight of a polyorganosiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded vinyl groups per molecule, (B) 1 to 300 parts by weight of fine powders of tungsten carbide and (C) a component for crosslinking of said component (A) selected from the group consisting of (1) a combination of (a) 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of a polyorganohydrogensiloxane having an average of at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule and (b) 0.000001 to 0.1 part by weight of a platinum catalyst; (2) a combination of said (a), (b) and (c) 0.00001 part to less than 0.1 part by weight of an organic peroxide except from organohydroperoxide; (3) a combination of said (a) and (d) 0.00001 part to less than 0.2 part by weight of the reaction product between said (b) and (c); and (4) 0.1 to 3.0 parts by weight of an organic peroxide except from organohydroperoxide.
