  • Publication number: 20080110354
Abstract: It includes a driving load detecting device which detects a driving load amount of a tie wire cutting mechanism, and a tie wire feeding amount control device which controls a feeding amount of the tie wire in a subsequent tying operation in accordance with the detected driving load amount. If the driving load amount when cutting the tie wire is equal to or less than a cutting determination reference value, the tie wire is fed by a normal feeding amount with a predetermined amount being added thereto in the subsequent tying operation to compensate the tie wire feeding amount, whereby a tip end of the tie wire is fed to a position which is same as the position in the normal state. The subsequent tying cycle is executed normally even if the tip end of the biding wire is failed to be clamped due to the failure of the feeding operation of the tie wire and the tie wire is pulled excessively.

  • Publication number: 20080094236
Abstract: A rechargeable electric tool includes a warning device which monitors a voltage of a power source battery and indicates a warning by means of an LED or a buzzer when the power source voltage is reduced to be equal to or lower than a reference voltage. The tool is configured such that, even when the warning is indicated, a control to interrupt a power supply to a motor is not performed, thereby enabling a usual operation in response to an activating operation on a trigger switch.

  • Patent number: 7353846
Abstract: A cooling fan 17 is arranged on the rear side of a twisting motor 9 of a reinforcing bar binder 1. The cooling fan is located on the axial line of the twisting motor so that cooling air effectively flows along the surface of the twisting motor and through within the twisting motor. A control unit on-off controls the cooling fan according to the temperature detected by a heat sensitive element 23 so as to actuate the cooling fan when a trigger signal is received at an interior temperature not lower than a reference value and to stop it after a predetermined time elapses. Thus, the temperature of the reinforcing bar binder can be controlled within a safe temperature range. Even if the reinforcing bar binder is run during a long time, a protecting circuit is not operated to forcibly stop the reinforcing bar binder. Further, in a cold environment, the cooling fan is not actuated so that the performance at a low temperature is not deteriorated and so power consumption can be also saved.

  • Publication number: 20080048591
Abstract: A power steering apparatus includes an electric motor, a temperature sensor, and a control unit. The electric motor produces an assist steering effort in a steering system. The temperature sensor measures a temperature of a first portion subject to thermal influence of operation of the electric motor. The control unit determines an estimated temperature of a second portion in accordance with a value of a motor current, the second portion being subject to thermal influence of operation of the electric motor. The control unit determines a first upper limit value in accordance with the measured temperature; determines a second upper limit value in accordance with the estimated temperature; limit the motor current to a smaller one of the first and second upper limit values, when determining that the temperature sensor is normal; limit the motor current to the second upper limit value, when determining that the temperature sensor is abnormal.

  • Publication number: 20080006341
Abstract: A reinforcing bar binding machine is provided with a control unit operated in such a manner that at the time of turning on an electric power source switch, a setting position of a motor drive adjustment dial and a state of a trigger lever are read, and when the motor drive adjustment dial is at a specific setting position and when the trigger lever is turned on, a binding wire cutting mechanism is driven by a predetermined number of times for warming up the binding wire cutting mechanism. When the warming-up operation is carried out in a cold environment, it is possible to reduce the viscosity of grease coated on a mechanism portion. Therefore, it is possible to lower a viscosity of grease applied on a mechanical portion and conduct a reinforcing bar binding work without wasting a binding wire in the same manner as that in a warm environment.

  • Publication number: 20070290084
Abstract: A garbage disposal is prevented from being driven continuously in a condition where it is overloaded. A control section monitors a current value signal output from the current detection circuit that detects a current flowing through a motor and controls the motor to revolve inversely, if having detected a current not less than a predetermined overcurrent detection threshold value when a period of time when the overcurrent is detected reaches a predetermined period of overcurrent detection setting time. If the number of times of reverse revolution of the motor based on the overcurrent detection reaches a predetermined number of times of the reverse revolution, the motor stops.

  • Publication number: 20070227613
Abstract: An antenna of an RF tag reader and a photo sensor for detecting a rotational position of a wire reel are provided in a wire reel receiving portion of a reinforcing bar binding machine. The photo sensor detects a mark on the wire reel, and when an RF tag mounted on a side surface of the wire reel is brought into opposed relation to the antenna of the RF tag reader, a control portion decelerates or stops the wire reel, and an RF tag recognition operation by the RF tag reader is executed, thereby identifying a wire kind. When the RF tag is opposed to the antenna of the RF tag reader, the wire reel is decelerated or stopped, and in this condition the transmitting and receiving operations are executed, and therefore the stable communication can be executed.

  • Patent number: 7248019
Abstract: A cordless power tool such as a power staple gun 1 includes a power supply circuit of an electric double layer capacitor 8 and a lithium-ion battery 11. In a standby state, the lithium-ion battery charges the electric double layer capacitor, and at a switch on time, the electric double layer capacitor supplies large current to the motor 5. By combining the lithium-ion battery with high energy density and the electric double layer capacitor capable of discharging large current, it is possible to greatly reduce the size and weight as compared with a case where a nickel-cadmium battery or a nickel-hydrogen battery is used. Besides, since the electric double layer capacitor has a very long lifetime, the running cost can also be reduced.
