  • Patent number: 7311535
Abstract: A lever fitting-type connector includes a female connector, male connector and lever. The lever includes: a pair of side plates and arranged in parallel to each other, end parts of the side plates and being separated from each other having a distance therebetween; a connecting part for connecting opposite end parts of the side plates and; and fulcrum projections formed at the respective end parts of the side plates and. The lever further includes a flange part formed from an outer edge of the fulcrum projection in an outer peripheral direction. • Patent number: 7303423
Abstract: An electrical connector includes a connector housing having a contact engaging section with contacts which engage mating contacts, and a wire holder holding wires connected to the contacts. The connector cover is capable of moving between partially engaged position and fully engaged position. The partially engaged position is the position in which a rear end of the wire holder is housed in and the fully engaged position is the position in which the rear end of the wire holder projects from a rear end opening. The connector housing has a first engaging section engaging a mating connector in the partially engaged position. The connector cover has a second engaging section engaging the first engaging section and restraining disengagement of the first engaging section from the mating connector in the fully engaged position.

  • Patent number: 7275951
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a connector which is not subjected to an excess force when a locking securing unit is operated to remove engagement. The connector includes a male housing, a locking arm for engaging with a locking projection of a mating connector, a locking securing unit, and deformation switching portions. The locking securing unit is movably disposed between a regulation position to regulate a resilient deformation of the locking arm and an allowance position to allow the resilient deformation thereof. The deformation switching portions have a first interfering portion disposed on the locking arm and a second interfering portion disposed on the locking securing unit. When the locking securing unit is in the allowance position, the first and second interfering portions interfere each other and the locking arm resiliently deforms to remove engagement with the locking projection.

  • Patent number: 7189117
Abstract: A shielding shell (18) is integrated into a housing (5) by insert molding, whereas a shell connecting member (22) is mounted on an end of a braided wire (2) of a shielded cable (1) by crimping a crimping ring (23) and can be brought into contact with the inner surface of the shielding shell (18). A cover (17) is mounted on the rear end of the housing (5) to retain the shell connecting member (22). As the crimping ring (23) is crimped, ribs (26) are formed to project and each of them is engageable with any one of turn preventing recesses (35) arranged at a plurality of positions along circumferential direction on the inner circumferential surface of the cover (17). Thus, the shell connecting member (22) is prevented from turning, thereby causing no abrasion at contact portions with the shielding shell (18).

  • Patent number: 7172459
Abstract: A split electrical connector housing comprises a first housing and a second housing independent from the first housing. The first housing has a plurality of contact receiving compartments and a projection extending from an outer surface thereof. The second housing has a first housing receiving opening that receives the first housing. An elastic arm is formed on an outer surface of the second housing. The elastic arm has a protrusion that extends into the first housing receiving opening and engages the projection as the first housing is received in the first housing receiving opening. The elastic arm is biased upward by the projection to change a contour of the outer surface of the second housing when the first housing is partially received in the second housing.

  • Patent number: 7128606
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a contact having a wire connection member and a mating contact receiving end. The mating contact receiving end includes an abutment edge and an inclined portion. A housing has a contact receiving opening with a contact receiving end. The housing has a projection extending into the contact receiving opening and a first bevelled surface opposing the projection. The first bevelled surface is arranged closer to the contact receiving end than the projection. The inclined portion engages the first bevelled surface to bias the abutment edge into the projection when the contact is incorrectly inserted into the contact receiving opening.
