  • Publication number: 20020115350
Abstract: A connector 11 for a memory card comprises a housing 12, a plate 14, a guide plate 16, a lock mechanism 18, and a connector pin keeping part 20. When a memory card 24 is inserted in the full-lock position, a connector pin of the memory card 24 contacts a contacting part 40d of a connector pin 40 so as to press the contacting part 40d of the connector pin 40 downward. Thus, a reading and writing of data available a loading operation of the memory card 24. At this time, after a lock member 56 of the lock mechanism 18 moved in the inserting direction while fitting in the concavity 32 of the memory card 24, the memory card 24 is prevented from being pulled out since the lock member 56 of the lock mechanism 18 is restricted from the moving in the lock releasing direction by a restriction part 14o of the plate 14.

  • Publication number: 20020115351
Abstract: A connector for a memory card 11 comprises the housing 12, the plate 14, the guide plate 16, the lock system 18, and the connector pin keeping part 20. Because the connector pin keeping part 20 is formed as horizontally bridged to a rear surface of the housing 12, and also the press-fitting part 40d of the connector pin 40 is press-fitted with a perpendicular state, the connector for a memory card 11 not only can be miniaturized but also can achieve a reduced thickness by restricting an amount protruding to a rear side within a small volume. Therefore, because a shape of the connector pin 40 is bent like a L-shape and the fixing hole 20a of the connector pin keeping part 20 is extended in an up-down direction and formed in the housing 12, it can promote the miniaturization and reduced thickness of the connector for a memory card 11. As a result, reducing a weight of the connector for a memory card 11 can also be attained.

  • Publication number: 20020115320
Abstract: A connector 11 for a memory card comprises a housing 12, a plate 14, a guide plate 16, a lock mechanism 18, and a connector pin keeping part 20. When a memory card 24 is moved from the full-lock position by being pushed in an insertion direction (Ya direction) then further moved to the maximum insertion position, a mobile section 42B provided on a slider 54 contacts a fixed section 42A mounted on the connector pin keeping part 20. Accordingly, an eject operation detecting switch 42 turns on so that an eject operation detecting signal is output. Thus, a control circuit recognizes the eject operation of the memory card 24.

  • Publication number: 20020058434
Abstract: In a PC card connector 10, a base 12 forms a PC card insertion section into which a PC card can be inserted. An arm 21 is pivotably supported in the region of the rear end of the base. An end 21a of the arm 21 is disposed in the PC card insertion section at one side of the PC card insertion section, and an other end 21b is projected sideways from the other side of the PC card insertion opening. An ejector member is disposed at the side edge of the other side of the PC card insertion section so that it can move forward and back. The other end of the arm engages with the ejector member. A projection 21c is formed on the arm 21. A shaft opening 12a is disposed on the base. The arm is interposed between a pushing section 12b and the base.

  • Patent number: 6290540
Abstract: An insulative housing has grooves disposed on an upper surface. The lower surface is closed to protect the electrical connectors from solder flux when soldering the housing to a printed circuit substrate. The enclosed electrical connectors make electrical contact with the corresponding connectors in an insertable plug. The grooves are open along a top surface and allow the enclosed electrical connectors to connect with the corresponding connectors disposed on a bottom surface of the insertable plug. The insulative housing is disposed within a socket that is soldered to a printed circuit substrate. The insertable plug, insulative housing and socket together comprise a miniature connector.
