  • Publication number: 20210148036
Abstract: A drum type washing machine capable of realizing weight reduction and improvement in washing performance at low cost is provided. A drum type washing machine is disclosed. A pulsator is installed rotatably at a bottom of the drum rotatably accommodated in a tub. A motor configured to rotate forward and backward rotationally drives the drum and the pulsator. A control device executes a washing mode in which the motor is driven at a low rotation and a spinning mode in which the motor is driven at a high rotation. The pulsator and the drum have different velocity ratios. A second drive transmission element of the pulsator includes a clutch. Based on executing the washing mode, the drum is rotationally driven while the pulsator is rotationally driven or is allowed to idle. Based on executing the spinning mode, the drum is rotationally driven while the pulsator is allowed to idle.

  • Publication number: 20200308749
Abstract: According to the present invention, it is appropriately determined whether there is a portent of abnormal vibration or not, and an appropriate control is conducted such that no abnormal vibration occurs during a dewatering stroke. A control unit comprises a calculation unit, a determination unit, and a motor rotation control unit. The calculation unit calculates the rate of change in water level, which indicates the amount of change in water level per a predetermined period of time, on the basis of the result of sensing by a water level sensor in connection with a water supply stroke. The determination unit determines whether laundry having a waterproof property is contained in a drum or not on the basis of the rate of change in water level during the water supply stroke calculated by the calculation unit.

  • Publication number: 20200308751
Abstract: A washing machine includes a drum accommodating laundry, a motor configured to rotate the drum, a speed sensor configured to detect a rotational speed of the drum, and a processor. The processor configured to: determine a mass of the laundry corresponding to each of a first acceleration section and a second acceleration section based on the rotational speed detected by the speed sensor, and control the motor such that an absolute value of the rotational speed at a start time of the first acceleration section is substantially the same as an absolute value of a rotational speed at a start time of the second acceleration section. A rotational direction of the drum corresponding to the rotational speed at the start time of the first acceleration section is opposite to a rotational direction of the drum corresponding to the rotational speed at the start time of the second acceleration section.

  • Publication number: 20140069148
Abstract: A washing machine includes an annular ball balancer in a washing tub about a vertical axis. The ball balancer includes a plurality of balls, a viscous fluid, a balancer case having an annular ring space defined therein, the ring space being partitioned into a bottom surface, top surface, inner circumferential surface, and outer circumferential surface, and a plurality of division plates to partition the ring space into a plurality of arc-shaped divided spaces. The viscous fluid and at least one of the balls are received in each divided space. Each divided space is provided at a portion thereof corresponding to the bottom surface with an inclined surface downwardly inclined from one end of each division plate to a deepest part in a circumferential direction. The deepest part of each divided space is located at a position where weight balance of the balls is achieved in a stop state.
