  • Patent number: 9192045
Abstract: A printed wiring board includes an insulative substrate having a penetrating hole, a first conductive layer formed on a first surface of the insulative substrate, a second conductive layer formed on a second surface of the insulative substrate, and a through-hole conductor formed in the penetrating hole through the insulative substrate such that the through-hole conductor is connecting the first conductive layer and second conductive layer. The penetrating hole has a first opening portion formed on a first-surface side of the insulative substrate and a second opening portion formed on a second-surface side of the insulative substrate such that the second opening portion has a depth which is greater than a depth of the first opening portion and the second opening portion has a volume which is greater than a volume of the first opening portion, and the through-hole conductor formed in the second opening portion includes a void portion.

  • Patent number: 8984554
Abstract: A hybrid tuner, comprising multiple individual tuners having differing capabilities of receiving programs or channels of broadcast audio or video content, can be controlled by periodically determining the capabilities of each individual tuner to receive broadcast channels, storing such information into a guide database and then utilizing such information to select appropriate individual tuners to tune in desired programs. If the tuners that can receive a desired program are already in use, the program they are currently receiving can be switched to a different tuner to free up the tuner that can receive the desired program without interrupting the consumption of the program currently being received. When determining the capabilities of an individual tuner to receive a particular channel, one or more tokens associated with such a channel, and utilized to prevent unauthorized access to such a channel, can be obtained from the guide database and provided to the tuner.

  • Publication number: 20140278098
Abstract: A display control method for displaying an alternative position different from a position of a destination when the position of the destination is unable to be displayed at a specific point in a center of a map as a result of a destination search, acquires, when the alternative position is displayed, a position indication item, which is to be displayed on the map, together with point coordinates, which are associated with the position indication item, from a detailed display database storing the position indication item and the associated point coordinates, and displays the acquired position indication item on the map based on the associated point coordinates.
