  • Patent number: 8955284
Abstract: A structure including a structural member configured like a frame with four sides is disclosed. A closed cross-section structural member serving as a reinforcing material is provided in a crossing corner of the structural member. The closed cross-section structural member includes two horizontal portions separated from each other in a thickness direction of the structural member and extending in an in-plane direction of the structural member and two vertical portions one of which connects first ends of the two horizontal portions together and the other of which connects second ends of the two horizontal portions together. The closed cross-section structural member includes a first opening formed therein facing an inner-peripheral flat surface of the structural member and a second opening formed therein facing inside of the structural member.

  • Publication number: 20140054872
Abstract: A structure (10) for a front section of a vehicle body in a vehicle body (1) comprising a front chamber (3) disposed on the forward side of a vehicle interior (2) is provided with the following: a pair of front side members (11), located within the front chamber, that extend in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body; a pair of strut towers (16) disposed on either side in the width direction of the front chamber and within which front wheel suspensions are disposed; and reinforcement members (20) that link the top of each strut tower with the front side members that face the strut towers, and that extend between the strut towers and the front side members. This configuration allows a structure for a front section of a vehicle body to be provided that can efficiently improve the rigidity of the vehicle body of an automobile against torsion and against lateral bending, and that can efficiently reduce the weight of the vehicle body by means of thickness reduction using a high-strength steel plate.

  • Publication number: 20130168397
Abstract: A fuel tank for a vehicle is formed of a tank main body in which an upper tank and a lower tank (120) are mutually joined to form a closed space in which fuel is housed, and a sub-tank (130) fixed to a bottom surface part of the lower tank (120) by spot welding (150), in which a plurality of rows of the spot welding (150) are set along a longitudinal direction of the lower tank (120) with an interval therebetween in a width direction of the sub-tank (130), at least one bead (142) positioned between the rows of the spot welding (150) and extending continuously along the longitudinal direction of the lower tank is formed on the bottom surface part of the lower tank (120), and a lower surface of the sub-tank (130) has no portion that is not brought into contact with the bottom surface part of the lower tank (120) except for the bead (142).

  • Patent number: 8464591
Abstract: In the process of target stamping for fracture judgment, an acquisition unit acquires, as target data for fracture judgment, strain of a target die to be measured over the duration from the start time of stamping measured by strain measuring units to the finishing time of stamping, and also acquires production conditions typically by measurement. An extraction unit extracts the reference data, which gives the minimum total of differences between the production conditions of the reference data and the production conditions of the target data for fracture judgment, as the comparative data. A judging unit compares strain in the comparative data extracted by the extraction unit and strain in the target data for fracture judgment, and judges occurrence of a crack in a stamped product, if the maximum value of the difference is not smaller than a predetermined value.

  • Publication number: 20120236570
Abstract: Display effect is improved. In an electronic apparatus of the present disclosure, an operation body placed in an operation panel of a body case has an operation part inserted into a through hole provided in the operation panel from the rear to the front side, a light reflecting part placed between the outer peripheral surface of a knob forming the operation part and the inner peripheral surface of the through hole and a light emitting part placed behind the light reflecting part. A light guide space is formed between the outer peripheral surface of the knob and the inner peripheral surface of the light reflecting part, and the front side of the light reflecting part is placed behind the operation panel of the body case.

  • Patent number: 5634988
Abstract: The present invention relates to a high tensile welded steel plate consisting essentially of, by weight, C: 0.03 to 0.20%, Si: 0.6 to 2.0%, Mn: 0.6 to 2.0%, Al: 0.01 to 0.08%, B: not more than 0.0020%, and N: 0.002 to 0.008% and optionally at least one element selected from Cu, Mo, Ni, Cr, Nb, V, Ti, Ca, and REM with the balance consisting of Fe and unavoidable impurities, and a process for producing a high tensile welded steel plate, usually comprising the steps of: subjecting a slab comprising the above chemical compositions to hot rolling or alternatively hot rolling followed by controlled rolling. The present invention enables fatigue cracking of the as-welded steel, in its heat-affected zone, to be prevented and, at the same time, the propagation of the crack to be prevented or inhibited.
