  • Patent number: 4792939
Abstract: In order to reduce the size of a duplex radio communication transceiver such as a mobile telephone, this transceiver is constructed of a transmitting and receiving duplexer, a filter to be coupled to the duplexer, an amplifier for amplifying a signal received, and a filter to be connected with the output of the amplifier. All the filters are made of acoustic surface wave filters, and all the circuits are mounted on a single metallic substrate and sealed by means of a metallic casing into a module. The transceiver thus constructed has a volume which is one tenth as small as that of the device of the same kind according to the prior art.

  • Patent number: 4734664
Abstract: In order to realize an SAW filter withstanding high power, a plurality of single open-ended surface acoustic wave resonators are connected in series, and an earth conductor is disposed at least on a part of rear face of a piezoelectric substrate constituting the surface acoustic wave resonators. And static capacities formed between said earth conductor and electrode conductors on the piezoelectric substrate constituting the surface acoustic wave resonators are utilized as constituents of the filter circuit. In the above described structure, a part of input power is not converted into acoustic energy, but directly transmitted to the output side. Since the mechanical stress imposed upon the electrode material and the piezoelectric substrate is thus lightened, the SAW filter can withstand a large power signal.

  • Patent number: 4476466
Abstract: A method of driving a gas-discharge panel having at least one reset electrode and cathode and anode groups for forming N electrode pairs. The cathodes are p-phase connected (p.gtoreq.3) while the anodes are m-phase connected (m.ltoreq.p). The reset electrode is applied with a reset pulse voltage having a period of T of one frame. Cathode pulse voltages having their pulse widths of (p-1)T/N are successively applied to the cathodes for respective p phases with a phase shift of T/N to each other while anode pulse voltages having their pulse widths of at maximum (m-1)T/N are successively applied to the anodes for respective m phases with a phase shift of T/N to each other. A reset discharge which is generated by the reset pulse voltage and the first one of the cathode pulse voltages and anode pulse voltages applied for each frame and having a value cooperating with the reset pulse voltage value is successively transferred by means of the cathode and anode voltages to display desired information.

  • Patent number: 4020191
Abstract: A method for forming flat display panel phosphor dots is disclosed wherein a conventional printing method or procedure is used in combination with an optical method. The paste film containing the phosphor, photoresist and powdered glass is coated on the surface of the dielectric layer, e.g. lead glass layer by means of the printing method. The paste layer is irradiated by a ultraviolet light through a mask, and after the development of the paste layer has been completed, the remaining hardened portions of the paste layer are subjected to a heat treatment. In this way, phosphor dots having a desired shape can be formed very firmly and very exactly at certain predetermined portions on said dielectric layer.
