  • Patent number: 5202719
Abstract: A camera having a built-in electronic flash device and a detachable electronic flash device, provided with a detecting sensor for detecting photographing condition, which judges whether or not a red-eye phenomenon caused by a reflection of flash light on human retinae tends to occur. In accordance with the judgment, activation of both flash devices are controlled.

  • Patent number: 5142310
Abstract: A pseudo format camera system comprises a film cartridge including a memory which stores film speed data and limitation data, and a camera including a means for setting pseudo focal length, a means for inputting the film speed data and the limitation data from the memory, a means for controlling exposure based on the film speed data, and a means for limiting the pseudo focal length depending on the limitation data. In this camera system, the pseudo focal length can be limited based on the limitation data stored in the memory in the film cartridge, and therefore it is surely prevented that a picture becomes rough because of a bad grainness of a film.

  • Patent number: 5036346
Abstract: A camera having zoom lenses of a photographing optical system, zoom lenses of a viewfinder optical system, and a driving motor for driving both zoom lenses. A transmitting mechanism for transmitting the force of the driving motor to the zoom lenses of the viewfinder optical system having a gear train connected to the driving motor and a rotation cam which is provided coaxially with the last gear of the gear train to drive the zoom lenses of the viewfinder lens. A key projects from the end of the periphery of a rotation shaft included in the cam. The last gear is mounted around an end of the rotation shaft of the cam and has a key groove engaging the key. A play is provided between the key groove and the key.

  • Patent number: 5032855
Abstract: A film cartridge comprises a chamber in which a film is contained and a semiconductor memory such as nonvolatile memory, e.g., E.sup.2 PROM having a plurality of memory areas for storing various kinds of photographing data of each photography. In this semiconductor memory, photographing data are stored in different areas at each photographing and therefore the preceding photographing data stored in the memory are not deleted by this time photographing and photographing data of a desired film frame are accessible. Data used at a photo processing shop and a photofinishing laboratory can be also stored in the memory of the film cartridge.
