An average plate thickness of the steel plate of the stator core is smaller than an average plate thickness of the steel plate of the rotor core. In the steel plate of the stator core, a plate thickness of a portion between a predetermined position and a radially outer edge in a radial direction around the rotation axis is smaller than a plate thickness of a portion between the predetermined position and a radially inner edge in the radial direction.
