  • Patent number: 7537443
Abstract: A mold clamping system using mold opening and closing mechanisms to move a movable platen toward a fixed platen, engaging half nuts with engagement parts formed at tie bars, and using clamping cylinders to pull tie bars and clamp the mold, provided with position adjustment rods arranged on the opposite sides from the mold attachment surfaces of pistons of the clamping cylinders, a plurality of adjustment cylinders arranged, in parallel with the position adjustment rods, on the fixed platen or movable platen at the side where the clamping cylinders are arranged, and connection members connecting rods of the adjustment cylinders and the position adjustment rods, whereby the mold clamping system is shortened in overall length and simple mechanisms are used to control the position adjustment of the tie bars with a high precision.

  • Patent number: 7332229
Abstract: The invention provides a varnish that contains an insulting resin, a curing agent, a flame retardant, and an organic solvent. The flame retardant comprises flame retardant particles surface treated with at least one surface treatment agent selected from the group consisting of a phosphorus compound soluble in an organic solvent, an organosilicon compound and a dispersant having a carboxyl group. A formed material is obtained by applying and drying the varnish on a substrate. A multilayer structure is obtained by forming on a substrate having a conductor circuit layer an electrical insulation layer obtained by curing the formed material obtained from the varnish.

  • Patent number: 5972272
Abstract: An unsaturated polyester resin composition for molding comprising (A) an unsaturated polyester resin, (B) a thickening agent containing powder of a thermoplastic resin as the effective component thereof in an amount of 20 to 120 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the unsaturated polyester resin, (C) a liquid polymerizable monomer in an amount of 30 to 120 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the unsaturated polyester resin, and (D) a curing agent; SMC and BMC prepared by adding (E) a reinforcing material to the composition; and a process for molding the SMC and the BMC at a low temperature under a low pressure. The unsaturated polyester resin composition of the present invention can be converted into SMC in a short time. The obtained SMC has an excellent storage stability, can be molded at a low temperature under a low pressure, and provides a molded product exhibiting low shrinkage, excellent surface smoothness, a large strength, and a large modulus.

  • Patent number: 5298542
Abstract: An acrylic ester copolymer plastisol composition comprises (A) copolymer particles comprising, as the major components thereof, (a) 98 to 50 weight % of an alkyl acrylate unit having an alkyl group of 1 to 8 carbon atoms and/or an alkyl methacrylate unit having an alkyl group of 1 to 8 carbon atoms and (b) 2 to 50 weight % of a diene monomer unit, (B) a plasticizer and, optionally, (C) a vulcanizing agent. Another acrylic ester copolymer plastisol composition comprises (A) copolymer particles comprising an ionic crosslinked copolymer prepared by ionic crosslinking of a copolymer comprising, as the major components thereof, (a) 97 to 50 weight % of an alkyl acrylate unit having an alkyl group of 1 to 8 carbon atoms and/or an alkyl methacrylate unit having an alkyl group of 1 to 8 carbon atoms, (b) 2 to 40 weight % of a diene monomer unit and (c) 1 to 20 weight % of a radical polymerizable unsaturated carboxylic acid unit of 3 to 8 carbon atoms having a carboxyl group and (B) a plasticizer.
