Abstract: A printer device is disclosed. The printer device includes: a base chassis that accepts therein and ejects therefrom the printing medium; a top chassis that is disposed to be able to freely open and close in a direction vertical to the basis chassis; an ink ribbon cartridge holder that is disposed between the top chassis and the base chassis, and is attached with an ink ribbon cartridge including therein the ink ribbon; and a thermal head that prints an image to the printing medium by heating the ink ribbon in the ink ribbon cartridge attached to the ink ribbon cartridge holder.

Abstract: A printer apparatus is disclosed. The printer includes: a thermal head having heat generating elements arranged in the form of a line extending longer than the width of a printing medium in the width direction of the printing medium substantially orthogonal to the conveying direction thereof; and a platen disposed opposite to the thermal head with a conveying path for the printing medium interposed between them so as to cooperate with the platen to sandwich the printing medium beyond the width of the printing medium with an ink ribbon interposed. The platen is put in contact with an end portion of the thermal head located beyond the width of the printing medium.

Abstract: A printer to which an ink cassette having a function of transmitting and receiving data via wireless communication with a printer main body is attached, is disclosed. The printer includes: communication means that transmits and receives data via wireless communication with an ink cassette; and control means that acquires management information of the ink cassette stored in the ink cassette side via the communication means and displays the information with display means and controls printing based on the acquired management information, wherein the control means receives data from the ink cassette attached to the printer main body with the communication means and receives the management information through the reception of data with the communication means from the ink cassette made close to a predetermined position of the printer main body and displays the information with the display means.

Abstract: An ink ribbon cartridge to be inserted to and removed from a printer device that prints an image to a printing medium by heating the printing medium with an ink ribbon closely attached thereto. The ink ribbon cartridge includes: a cartridge body provided with a pair of housing sections for housing, with a space therebetween, a pair of spools to be able to freely rotate for winding of the ink ribbon; and a pair of guide sections that are provided on both side surfaces in a direction orthogonal to an insertion/removal direction of the cartridge body, and serving as a guide for insertion to and removal from an ink ribbon cartridge holder provided to the printer device through support by a guide support section formed to the ink ribbon cartridge holder with a cross section of a substantially square bracket shape.
