  • Publication number: 20060115290
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an output processing device determining an output process time in accordance with reservation information of a sheet of paper to be outputted, and a controller adjusting a paper transport interval in accordance with the output process time determined by the output processing device. Upon canceling the reservation information, the controller adjusts the paper transport interval of reservation information to be processed right after the canceled reservation information on the basis of an output process time of reservation information to be processed right before the canceled reservation information.

  • Publication number: 20060093388
Abstract: A period of a first edge, a voltage change in a first direction of a first pulse signal fed from a zero-crossing detecting circuit, is detected. A second edge, a voltage change in a second direction opposite to the first direction, is generated when a time period equal to half the period of the first edge has elapsed from the next first edge. In response to a second pulse signal generated from the first and second edges, phase control of power to be supplied to heating elements is performed by using triacs. In this manner, during power control using a signal from the zero-crossing detecting circuit as a trigger signal, is achieved stable power control which enables tracking even though the power supply frequency fluctuates, and which is impervious to the effect of the positive or negative polarity of an input power supply.

  • Publication number: 20060078344
Abstract: This invention is intended to control the amount of power to be supplied to a fusing heater below a maximum applicable current value. The engine controller supplies electricity to both of two heating bodies at the same fixed duty D1. At a phase angle al corresponding to the fixed duty D1, pulse signals ON1 and ON2 are issued in response to a ZEROX signal as a trigger. A current value I1 is detected based on a HCRRT signal from the current detection circuit. The engine controller calculates an upper limit of applicable power duty Dlimit based on the detected current value I1, the fixed duty D1 and the preset applicable current value Ilimit. Then, a PI temperature control is performed at a duty below the upper-limit duty Dlimit.

  • Publication number: 20050244752
Abstract: A radiation-curable resin composition for adhesives comprising (A) a bisphenol-type epoxy (meth)acrylate having a hydroxyl group, (B) a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate having an aliphatic cyclic structure or an aromatic cyclic structure other than the component (A), and (C) a photoinitiator, wherein the content of the component (A) and the content of the component (B) in the composition are respectively 30 wt % or more. The radiation-curable resin composition for adhesives of the present invention exhibits excellent adhesion to silver, silicon compound, and aluminum, superior moisture-heat resistance, and fast curability, especially at the edge of the disk, and therefore is very useful in the manufacture of optical disks in comparison with conventional adhesives.

  • Patent number: 6931216
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus having a toner container, the remaining amount of toner is detected by measuring a capacitance caused by a toner detector member in the toner container. It is determined whether the measured capacitance falls within a predetermined range. If it is determined that the measured capacitance falls not within the predetermined range, the measured capacitance is not used in the detection of the remaining amount of toner. The present invention thus provides an image forming apparatus reliable in the detection of toner, and a method of controlling the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20040253010
Abstract: In an image-forming apparatus, a recording sheet passes in a first feeding path when it is determined that the size of the recording sheet does not satisfy the condition for feeding the recording sheet in a second feeding path even in a case in which the second feeding path is selected as the feeding path for the recording sheet.

  • Publication number: 20040239976
Abstract: An image generating apparatus equipped with detachable sheet conveyance units can reduce a first print time period at the time of releasing a sleep mode. An engine controller turns on an ON/OFF signal in response to a sleep release instruction. It sends via serial communication an OUT signal instructing to start an option paper feed cassette controller which is assigned higher priority, thereby starting the option paper feed cassette controller. It is possible to perform image generating operation in a state in which only an option paper feed cassette is started. In parallel with the image generating operation, a duplexer unit controller is started.

  • Patent number: 6785478
Abstract: An engine control unit and corresponding method of controlling the engine in which the engine control unit receives a print reservation command for plural pages prior to a print request command from a printer control unit. When the engine control unit received the print reservation command for the plural pages, it is judged whether or not a sheet feed operation of recording sheets can be performed. When it is judged that the recording sheets can be fed, the recording sheets are fed and transported to a predetermined position on a transportation path with a minimum constant interval corresponding to the sheet size by sheet feed rollers or transportation rollers, then printing operation is performed according to the print request command.

  • Patent number: 6647214
Abstract: An engine control part starts data transmission to a nonvolatile memory of a process cartridge. An opening/closing sensor continues to detect an opening or closing state of an upper door open and closed for attaching or detaching the process cartridge until the engine control part confirms that the data transmission is finished. If such a state that the door is open is detected, the engine control part halts the data transmission, and temporarily stores the data currently transmitted in a memory thereof. After that, when the upper door is closed and mounting of the process cartridge is confirmed, the engine control part re-executes the data transmission so that the data temporarily stored in the memory thereof will be re-transmitted.
