  • Patent number: 10607566
Abstract: A display light measurement method which can measure color representation of a various types of display devices regardless of the specification of the display device; a computer program, and a measurement system. A measurement device connected to an optical sensor can communicate with a target display device (information terminal) to be measured. The measurement device transmits content including a color patch to the display device to cause the display device to display the content and performs a measurement on the displayed content using the optical sensor. To perform measurements on many color patches, the measurement device repeats the following: when a measurement on one color patch being displayed is complete, the measurement device transmits content including another color patch to the display device to cause the display device to display the content and performs a measurement on the content being displayed.

  • Patent number: 9602696
Abstract: Provided are a color conversion method, gradation value correction device, computer program, and display device that can reproduce small gradation changes between lattice points, as well as can reduce accuracy degradation caused by interpolation. Dividing one of input gradations and output gradations of gradation characteristics, indicating input/output gradation characteristics reproduced in a second conversion unit, into gradation segments having predetermined gradation intervals. Then, correcting each of the gradation values of the other gradations of the gradation characteristics so that gradation intervals of the other gradations become intervals corresponding to the predetermined gradation intervals. The first conversion unit then converts the gradation values of an image using the corrected gradation values.

  • Patent number: 8872864
Abstract: A control unit performs calibration when a determining unit determines that an absence condition of an operator is satisfied. Calibration is performed to a whole or part of brightness, a white point (gain), gamma (gradation), and primary colors (red, blue, and green colors). The control unit stores a correction amount by calibration in a storage unit, measures the (corrected) calibrated brightness or color tone by using an optical sensor, and stores the measured final measurement result in the storage unit as a corrected measurement value. After performing calibration or when the determining unit determines that a presence condition of the operator is satisfied, a profile generating unit generates color space information.

  • Publication number: 20020184531
Abstract: The display device of the invention for displaying images on an LCD based on output signals from a client computer includes: a communication interface for exchanging information on a burglarproof function with the client computer; a memory for storing the information on the burglarproof function received via the communication interface; and a controller. The controller has the functions of: putting the display function of the LCD in an improper state after a lapse of a predetermine time when the information indicates that the burglarproof function is in the “ON” state; maintaining the display function of the LCD proper even in the “ON” state of the burglarproof function when the client computer receives a predetermined message for temporarily releasing the burglarproof function; and maintaining the display function of the LCD proper when the information indicates that the burglarproof function is in the “OFF” state.
