Abstract: An assembly for a connector includes a housing part, a cover adapted to be mounted to the housing part, a lever that is adapted to be attached to the housing part and that can be rotated from a starting position to a final position relative to the housing part when attached, a lever lock that blocks the rotation of the lever out of the final position when the lever lock is in a locking position, and that allows a rotation of the lever when the lever lock is in a release position, wherein the lever lock can only be moved from the release position to the locking position when the lever is in the final position and the cover is mounted on the housing part.

Abstract: A connector housing assembly is disclosed. The connector housing assembly has a connector housing and a mating connector housing. The connector housing has a cable receptacle open in a cable direction. The mating connector housing has a contact receptacle open in a contact direction. The mating connector housing is connectable with the connector housing in a first position in which the cable direction and the contact direction are substantially perpendicular to each other and a second position in which the cable direction and contact direction are substantially parallel to each other.
